my bike is in workshop again. After 1000km run in, the engine is hard to start, because......

compression ratio is too damn high... really fark.

Need to kick start 20+ times only can start the engine, and sometimes makan engine oil a bit.

I'll either do a singh groove on the piston, or put gasket to decrease the compression a bit.

Hopefully my bike can be ready by the next Penang TT. happy.gif

yeah, this is right. I use Big Bore and big Valve, still can use the electric starter. just don't take out the decompression pin.

I already took out long time ago. Can use the electric starter after changing battery, the story now is diff bcoz it can be started in 1 time when temperature is cold. Hot temp hardly can start and also makan minyak. Most likely it is due to high overlapping in the camshaft + high compression. In modified car engine, changing the camshaft pulley to decrease overlapping helps to solve. Bike still dunno how, still waiting my friend to diagnose the exact problem.

thanks for your input guys.

There is a thing that decompress a bit when we start the bike.

Anyone using big block here? I am just wondering what gasket are you guys using. Right now my compression is too high until gasket letup. The water coolant went into the combustion chamber. Tak makan minyak, those white smoke are engine coolant.
