I just bought my PS3 and connect it to my LCD monitor via HDMI>DVI cable as well. Working fine so far. How to check whether my monitor has HDCP or not? If no HDCP, how to get it sorted out? I dont want to face a problem where when I buy a new game, it cant play due to this HDCP issue. Thanks a lot.

no u dont hv to hv an internet connection to play OFFline. i hv a few friends who is having ps3 but never online because their home dont hv internet connection for some reason.


u just need to create user in your ps3 and then u can play games offline. no need to bother creating psn account.

Hey guys,is PSN down or something?Haven't been able to sign in for the last 2 days.I keep getting error 80710B23.I already tried the fix recommended by other users by changing it's MTU to 1486 and it still doesn't work.I can still browse the net though.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

malaysia set .. u get official warranty in MALAYSIA by SOMAS (Sony Malaysia).. 15 months (everything ... lens or YLOD)..just send in.

singapore set ... 200 cheaper .. u dun get warranty by SOMAS.. you have to send ur console to singapore to fix. Normally the dealer will tell u got warranty .. but when something happen .. they will need to charge u RM300 to send to singapore ..

and please be aware .. no matter what.. SOMAS wont honor your console (Singapore set) even if u pay them to fix it ..

as far as today, i dunno whether the PSN is down or not cos i havent log in yet..

but as of yesterday night round 230am, still can sign in..

Thanks for the input guys but this is definitely weird,i had no problems signing in 3 days ago when i bought the PS3..i even messed around in HOME,hmm..will try signing in again later.

obviously is malaysia set. if your ps3 kena any technical problem can straight send to sony malaysia instead of singapore. plus u mus pay some $$ if want to send back to singapore to claim the warranty..
