Bro, another weird problem.

I bought a phat ps3 unit from a fren.
Somehow i am an offline gamer until last month when finally my 4mbs line come.
Problem is the main user has activated the psn and the username is there with password not save. I tried to ask the password from the previous owner and he claimed he forgotten the password and the birth date he put. (PS: He even didnt reliase he bought a 40gb phat unit overseas which is told by the seller as 80gb. He never check)

So, is there any way that I could log in my own psn account using the main user. I have to create a new user in order to log in. (T.T My precious trophy) Whenevery i try to login using main user to my own psn account, an error sure occur. I even try to call to US PS3 support and they say they must have a US phone number for the troubleshooting. I duno how.

Please Help!

delete main user
make new user
make new US PSN account.
Log in New PSN account in New user.

i wanna ask, if the disc got minor scratch, will it still run?

minor scratch should be ok

if the disc got minor crack, avoid using that disc.

Another question regarding disks. Ok, so I admit I've been pirating PS1 and PS2 games. But now that I have my own cash, I wanna finally pay for original. Just that, if ever my disk gets damaged, can I claim back a new one? It makes no sense that I'm paying RM200 for one game, and if it gets damaged I have to buy another RM200 one.

its best that we take care of the disc, to some extent some are into plastic cover.

unless sony specify there's something wrong with the disc, then we can claim

i put my BD all in plastic sleeve...all because i have 2 clumsy brother who will sure crack the BD if i put it in the BD case...

Problem is i failed to delete main user. Seem not an option =.=

I bought Uncharted 2 last week and juz unboxed 2 days ago and found out that the Blu-ray disc was not properly allocated to the holder (loosen out) Leaving quite a lot scratches there

But WAIT, that's not the end of the story, i tried to rub it with my cloth and guess what, those scratches gone
So i went and took those sunglasses/cermin mata cloth and wipe it, ALL GONE ! like a mirror right now
Gameplay also seems no problem - only tried multiplayer though

Did some research and saying that Blu-ray disc is quite resist to scratches

is installment plan to buy ps3 in sony centre? i heard from my colleague that he bought his ps 3 by installment.

some credit card , u can actually buy with 0% installment ..

Sony style offers 0% installment. Which credit card I am not sure. Sony Centre i think charges 3%.

You can try going to your nearest sony style and check it out.

0% installment means no interest charge on your purchase.

So technically you just pay Cost / Period ie :- 1200 / 12 = 100 per month.

if there's a 3% charge, it's on top of your cost

ie:-

1200 * 3% / 12 = 1236 / 12 = 103 per month.


The bank won't charge you additional interest for these installment plans unless you don't make your payment on time then there's late payment charges.

icic.. so it is rm 1299 in the sony centre there right? have to include one game with it?
