QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Mar 7 2010, 09:53 AM) 3. Nik - Those who are giving him stick for missing those chances should watch the game again. Sure, it's unbelievable that he missed 5 clear-cut chances, but watch again and you'll see what Nik was trying to do. All those skewed shots/headers were aimed towards the far corner of the goal which would have left the keeper wrong footed and no chance to save them. It could have been a case of trying too hard, but I actually think Nik is getting smarter in placing his shots. And I absolutely adore the fact that he never let those misses stop him - he just kept on pushing and pushing. Otherwise he wouldn't have gotten so many chances to begin with. Dudu was rusty and out of sorts during his short cameo, there's no way anyone would start Dudu in the centre instead of Nik. He must start in the next match, first to regain his confidence, second his physical presence would give us more benefit. Note that during the second half there was an instance where he rose for a header and left 2 Burnley defenders on their butts. good win for us, mu wins but it doesn't matter because never expect wolve can do anything to them keep pressure the top, mu and chelsea still have to face each other, i believe sooner we will face a slip up, i hope it will be a draw and we will bounce back at the nex match |

QUOTE(maximus85 @ Mar 7 2010, 11:07 AM) not sure if u guys notice, all the players were hesitated to go all in for a 50-50 ball situation....all were probably scared after the Ramsey's incident... yep..,. but did u see burnley tackle on diaby... it was like dudu all over again but the guy went for the shin instead. had he went for the ankle, you'll see diaby on the stretcher last nite.... however, kudos to the ref for dishing out yellow when it's due. only that the ref still reluctant to give us penalties! haiyoo... both players must be thinking, if i go all in and he mistimed his tackle then i'll have my leg broken and out for 1 year or possibly career ended sonner btw, interesting short write up from untold arsenal... a tale of 3 halves i didn't see this.. any vids? QUOTE But eventually we had to break off the hospitalities and watch the game And would you believe, the whole team came out in Ramsey shirts with his name and number on. Now I refer you back to my prediction for the team which had Ramsey playing in six different positions. Bit of foreknowledge on my part, what? and this... QUOTE And I don’t know if you saw it but after the final bell, Eboue went over to the crowd on the far side and thanked them for their support and gave away his shirt. Also when we were all singing for Bendtner after his fifth miss, he stood there and applauded us back. Now that is the way you do it. That is supporting your club. That is football. classy... |

ROFL @ Bendtner. I counted 7 or 8 good chances he missed. A bit like Adebayor then. I still think the lad has potential though. He's very self-motivated and hardworking, and I think he'll just shrug off yesterday. Best not to dwell on it really.
Fabregas need to recover before Porto. Any word on what his injury is about? |

QUOTE(kanelee @ Mar 7 2010, 11:57 AM) The more the merrier if Diaby/denilson/Nasri can keep up the good work from last nite, i'd say rest Cesc for Porto. it makes no sense if he's playing injured. Arshavin did that before and he was out for 3 weeks after that. I'd rather Cesc have a full week off til next game against Hull (*urgh... the thought of PB makes me wanna puke). I believe if Diaby/Denilson/Nasri played their role like they did today, we'll win comfortably against Porto. Also, Bendtner needs to bring his scoring boots. hehe not just bendtner... Rosicky needs to shoot more, same goes to Nasri and Diaby. Heck, Diaby had a clear chance to shoot but he opted to pass to arshavin... and having been small, Arsha's leg didn't get to the end of the ball. hehehe i'd take the shot and if it bounce off the keeper, Arshavin might have the easiest goal like Vermy got last week. so that's it... shoot! shoot! |

QUOTE(bone_me @ Mar 7 2010, 12:27 PM) wtf man? got something against arsenal? jeez.... can't stand it AW is slowly proving his theory and development going into the right direction? Can't accept the fact that a football club can be successful without splashing out unnecessarily? What? what? This post has been edited by sakaito: Mar 7 2010, 12:29 PM |

Diaby? Theo I presume. The two footed lunge by Fox and also the dubious penalty decision was involving Theo. btw, interesting short write up from untold arsenal... a tale of 3 halves i didn't see this.. any vids? and this... classy... As for vids, you can catch a slight glimpse of the GET WELL AARON shirts in the early seconds of MOTD. QUOTE(QuickFire @ Mar 7 2010, 12:04 PM) ROFL @ Bendtner. I counted 7 or 8 good chances he missed. A bit like Adebayor then. I still think the lad has potential though. He's very self-motivated and hardworking, and I think he'll just shrug off yesterday. Best not to dwell on it really. It's good to know that Nik is a player who has utmost confidence in himself. Having said that, it's apparent that after missing those chances he was slightly shaken. Great stuff by the Grove fans who gave him a standing ovation when he was subbed, and Nik returned the favour with an applaud with a sheepish, guilty grin. This is how you support a player, not boo him whenever he misses a shot. Fabregas need to recover before Porto. Any word on what his injury is about? QUOTE(bone_me @ Mar 7 2010, 12:27 PM) Whoever ends up at the top of the table by May will be deserved winners. The league is a marathon and only the fittest will come out top, no one cares how poor their early season form was.Added on March 7, 2010, 12:36 pm QUOTE(mengdez @ Mar 7 2010, 12:35 PM) Nasri.
