I've said it all along, there are 20 teams in the league. Taking away the top 4, there's maximum 96 points left on the table. Tell me that's not good enough to win any season. A league winning run is based on consistency to maintain a high level of performance week in week out. Sure, the loss to the top 2 hurts but it's those draws and losses against smaller teams that have hurt us the most in the past.

Spot on.

And, actually we didnt win at Stoke, just a breath of luck, due to last min penalty..save the blushes..we havent win anything yet. sweat.gif

Arsenal won a lot in the Stoke game. The team won their fans, by showing tremendous mental strength and resolve to win the game. Previously, the team wasn't able to handle Dudu's injury, went apeshit and the season lost from there.

Here is a great discussion IMO re: Ramsey injury by the panel of "The Sunday Supplement" on Sky. Both Patrick Barclay and Neil Custis has been brutally honest about the issues at hand and pretty much hit the nail on the head with their points IMO.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

P/S: Ignore the c**k from the Independent though whose name I won't even bother to remember or mention.

The Sunday Supplement Ramsey Injury Discussion

Yeah, the c**t from Independent didn't even talked about the real topic "where Arsenal gets roughed up more than other teams". Off the bat, he just defends Shawcross until to the end of his tv time.

AW pulled another rabbit from the hat, in terms of Campbell. Back then when heard of the contract until end of season for him, i figure no harm having him back. Anyone is going to be better than Silvestre. But didn't expect him having so much Arsenal spirit in him, just like didn't expecting TV to score goals.

oh please la.. spare the shawcross redemption.

3 incidents in the last 3 years... 1) he broke jeffers ankle. 2) he tackle adebayor off the pitch resulting in twisted ankle, keeping ade out for 3 weeks and 3) u seen it last weekend with ramsey.

enough said.. the evidences speak for themselves.
*
Agreed.

Same person committing 3 incidents of that damage to the same team isn't a coincidence. Even if he got his orders from someone, I will fault the player's conscience as well.

Wenger's prudence has kept us floating thus far, but one day when all the debts are cleared, the questions will be:
1. Will he continue to be prudent, looking for bargain signings at the corners of the globe, instead of looking closer to home? and,
2. Will he continue with his youth approach, being patient and letting the youngsters room to improve while putting the challenge for trophies at risk (like Denilson, Song and Diaby - of which two of them came good..)?

We all know his philosophies, but when there's no more excuse to turn to, will failure be tolerated?  hmm.gif

You wanted to actually say if there's no trophies in the cabinet next few years?

Let's say, for the sake of detaching this barren run with my question, we win 1-2 Carling Cups from now until that day when the debts are cleared. After that, do you think his current approach can bring about sustained success?
*
Fans wants to see trophies, totally acceptable.

After all you seen this season (compared it whatever year benchmark you want), do you honestly belief Arsenal have no chance to win EPL this season?

The other one I would like to point out as well, AW can change his policies. Remember how he didn't want/like to sign 30+ year old players? And now you see a 35 year old defender coming back.

I'm more concerned about how Arsenal is going to do without AW, than with AW.

did anyone see this? awesome stuff from Carlos Vela. Really hoping he'll come thru for Arsenal.

watch at 1minute 25sec into the highlight. loved the way he push the defender away, then nutmeg another and finishing just sublime. smile.gif

good goal. liked how he checked the ball (from his left side) to his right side before shooting the ball off.

hope he stays.

Shawcross is a thug. But I agree we should get on; since the media and practically the whole English football establishment is behind him, we can only wait until he breaks some other pair of legs. *disgusted spit*

Theo should had quietly evaded when asked of his comments on Shawcross. He will get a lot of stick if forumers made a thread out of his comment. It doesn't help his cause that he's currently playing below standards.

waiting for the highlights to load. meanwhile, a few comments.

1) notworthy.gif to Titi

2) Bendtner is this week's fan's rant of the week? (like Walcott was last week)

3) Can Walcott perform like yesterday (or 80% of it) for remaining of season? If there's time to do hit consistency, it's now.

Streamyx is sh*t.

Arsenal got Nasri for Fab's central role. Not worried.
