I'm sure if a normal genius like me can see that when you play Bendtner up front, it frees up Arshavin and lets him to what he does best while also offering much more threat in attack in the form of Bendtner himself, so can a super genius like Wenger.

But seriously, until RVP returns, start Bendtner! The guy is confident, isnt afraid to shoot, can head, and has some bloody good link-up play.

QUOTE(Zan81 @ Feb 28 2010, 10:24 AM)
I find these sort of statements pathetic.

Yes, I'm sure that Shawcross was apologetic, regretful, guilty, bla bla bla... But apart from Vinnie Jones, I don't think that any footballers out there have the intention of going onto the pitch to hurt somebody.

But what's done is done. The reason why Ramsey's leg is in two pieces, is because of the full-blooded challenges that managers encourage and refs allow.

I'm all for physical contact in the sport, but really, the players should have a little bit more conscience when flying into tackles like what we saw yesterday, and Martin Taylor a few years ago. Shawcross' tackle was a 50-50 and Martin Taylor's was partly the result of Eduardo's quick feet. But Abou Diaby's injury all those years ago was a result of an irresponsible tackle by that Sunderland dude (who's a pathetic excuse for a footballer I don't even remember his name).

The point I'm getting at is that refs never learn. The FA never learns. Nobody does anything to prevent these sort of challenges and mark my words, someone else will get hurt again in the near future.

True. I just saw the replay.

There was no intent.

He just didn't care.

Hmm I just saw the MOTD highlights, and the part where they freeze-frame the moment right before the tackle comes in, you can already actually see Ramsey's leg crumbling and his ankle at an odd angle. Shawcross' foot surely exacerbated it though.

ROFL @ Bendtner. I counted 7 or 8 good chances he missed. A bit like Adebayor then. I still think the lad has potential though. He's very self-motivated and hardworking, and I think he'll just shrug off yesterday. Best not to dwell on it really.

Fabregas need to recover before Porto. Any word on what his injury is about?
