omg~ haha!! u read me! i mistook myself wif the gma x3100... going bonkers from seeing alot of numbers
ic ic, btw, can u tell me how to tell which processor is better than another? i am very very very unfamiliar wif this kind of things
gotta learn some things.... but different web are giving me different reviews on how to tell which processor is better....
does processor sees how many GHz to know they are better?
Well, you need to see the architecture, newer generation usually faster if it has the same clock speed with the older generation.
While if its the same generation, higher speed clock, higher cache is better.
And also, more core is always better.

Hey guys, need recommendation on buying my laptop.
Preferable brand : Asus (model with core i5)
Budget: 3-3.5k
spec: preferably model with core i5 and an acceptable graphic processor
size: 15 inch
using it for assignment, some photo/video editing, and for games like L4D.
thanks!

So far nothing much with i5 from Asus except N61Ja@RM4999, though there's are news of coming i5 with A42JR/A52JR...
3.5k is about nowhere, nothing much worthy in this price range...
You might want to consider Dell Studio 15 or Acer 5740G if strictly under 3.5k
If games is the priority, you can consider importing Sager NP2098, there's someone selling at garage sales, though its still uses C2D, its has one of the best GPU in this price range, should be under 3.5k...

well.... i guess i am not sure about processors myself so i use the word better... >.<
erm.... so .... more core is better? sorry for asking too many question ....

More core is better, better get at least dual core nowadays... or quad core if that fits your budget...

I think im attracted with the Aspire 5740G, but i found few articles stating that this laptop has certain heat issues. I cant clarify yet, but will later.
I see, care to share the article?
