Thanks lee_what2004 ! Compared with Acer 4740G, which one is better ? However, based on brand experience and reliability, which one has the less problems ? I am hoping the laptop would last me at least 2 years...... I read online that Acer and Asus laptops have some problems... p/s: Mind sharing Asus a42jr specs ???? THANKSSS This post has been edited by lycan87: Mar 1 2010, 01:11 AM

Hey lee_what2004, comparing this few units, which one is the best for gaming (COD:MW2, L4D2 and etc) and normal usage such as going online, word doc etc ?
Acer 5740G, Dell Studio 15, Toshiba L510-S4318B, and Asus A42JR / A52JR and also Asus UL80VT

Deng , acer 5740G is a lil bit over budget for me ... . I could only afford asus A42JR which is RM2699 ... Hopefully with the i5 version it would be around the same price, then i would definitely grab it !!! Patience is virtue , but it's damn hard to keep patient

ppl, need correction on availability of asus a42jr with i-5. apparently the sales person was mistaken , it's normal asus a42jr with i-3 . sad anyway placed a deposit for asus a42jr with i-3 ... don't think i can wait that long. Furthermore i think with i-5 it would be more expensive ... This post has been edited by lycan87: Mar 5 2010, 03:13 PM

i think Dell is either upgrading their Vostro 3700 laptop or phasing it out. Cant seem to find it at Dell's website, unless I google the laptop
