Hi,

Yes of course we are aware of the issue. Right now we're still pending from relevant departments and suppliers on how to proceed.

As far as I know Acer has just issued an official response which you can check out HERE, may I know which brand/model did you buy?

Intel DH67BL motherboard with receipt, which is bought at your store in Plaza Lowyat couple weeks ago before I go back to university.

TBH, I'm a student from Kampar, Perak. It's waste of time to travel whole day back to KL for replacement. This is not a big issue, the thing is I can't live without my desktop computer, because that's the only tool for me to do my final year project in final semester. Hope you can understand for what reason I want a quick 1-to-1 replacement. Not to trouble your store, I'm here to let you know now so that earlier preparation could be done by your store.

I voted for fourth one because they had a bad phone customer service, last time when I sent my hardware for RMA and waited for almost 1 month and then I call them. No one answer, kepp calling then only got people pick up and answer. Called 10 times they only answer one.

yeah i saw this thing not long ago at Lowyat branch, where the phone are ringing so long but heck no single staff care to answer it,then come 1 staff pick up the phone but by the time the caller already ended the call and u know what i hear that staff saying?

I think the best time to change the board is April as Intel /Gigabyte also announce April will fully rectify/complete replace cycle. Anyway, If you plug to S-ata 3 port only then it will be fine. Just giving my though in case you bring to replace a same problem model.

Hello Andao,

Sorry for the late reply as the person in charge was on leave last week and I couldn't check this issue. Anyway as sam said, yes the replacement boards will be in sometime end-March or April, and we will inform you when you can change it. It should be a one-to-one replacement and not a typical warranty case where it takes weeks to process. Hope this helps.

@steventan Thanks for your opinion, well it depends on a case-to-case basis as exchange periods are based on a variety of factors, like in the above, for example. Personally I prefer assembled PCs as it gives me the freedom to customise my system to fill my needs. But thanks for your feedback anyway smile.gif

Hello Syukri,

Thank you for your acute observation. I'll forward this to the relevant departments for their action.

Cheers and Happy CNY/Valentines to all,

Hi thunder_kaminari,

I bought a USB keyboard from LYP Thundermatch earlier today and tested it. The keyboard is irresponsive and I'll be taking it back to you guys. I am convinced the keyboard is of very low quality. Can I change to another model/brand via top-up or cash refund?

Please let me know. Thanks.

Hello Ashburn,

Sorry for the late reply, LYN didn't send me that email notification (either that, or I forgot to reply tongue.gif ). Anyway although this may be an obsolete reply, chances are the keyboard is defective and you can send it for warranty or exchange; top-up is also fine but within 7 days usually and on a case to case basis.

By personal experience the cheapest keyboards are among the best in terms of response and durability, because they are so basic electronically. I remember jamming to Gaussian Blur on O2Jam on my RM15 keyboard thumbup.gif

Hello thunder_kaminari, I would like to confirm with you that is the pofoko laptop sleeve that being sold in your Sungai Petani branch really an original or fake sleeve? This is because I compared to the original on their website it looks off. Furthermore, RRP was RM19 but it was sold at RM30.

Hi, I bought a laptop from thunder match during the pc fair, and now there's some problems. Which branch should I go to? Do I have to go to LYP or can I go to Digital Mall? Thanks.

Hey guys,

I was hoping that I didn't have to post this up but I do. Seems like the new person at Thunder Match did not continue this thread. I'm no more with them since few months back. Please direct all your questions, enquiries, feedback, complaints and etc to their facebook page at:

http://www.facebook.com/thundermatch

Cheers.

P.s. - Please don't reply here as I won't be monitoring this page, nor this account. Good luck.

I went your branch in Hatten Square Melaka, ask for KINGSTON DDRII 667/800. Before I went there I have checked the price list online, it's RM72 for the 2GB stick. But when I asked the person in the shop, they state the price is RM89. Then I said the pricelist said its RM72, then he said the pricelist is for KL only.

How true is this? Because I saw on the first page of this thread the price everywhere is the same.

I have recently bought a DELL Desktop during PC Fair from Thundermatch and I have encounter difficulties in collecting it for the various reasons:

1) I initially opted for a package which offers me a Desktop inclusive of monitor (RM 2099). However, I was told that the package written on the receipt is without a monitor but a CPU with a better spec (RM 2099). I was cought in a shock about this matter when I went over to collect it and therefore I am an unhappy customer regarding this matter.

2) I was told by the sales person that the warranty offered is a 1 + 1 year warranty (1 year dell + 1 year company). Therefore, I chose to upgrade the warranty for another year (2 year from Dell + 1 year from company). However, when I was collecting the desktop today, he mentioned I have only 2 years warranty. The 1 year warranty by company is not included in the package. I was left confused by this matter as there is a conflict of statement between the salesperson and the person who handed me the desktop today.

3) I was unhappy with the statement offered by the person who handed me the desktop today. He mention that "if you want to play dirty, i can play dirty too. I can cancel your order or give only what was written on the receipt". I dont think this would be the best statement a sales person in your company would offer. I agree that it was my mistake for not checking the receipt properly, but I hope there will be a better training for your employee in the future especially during PC Fair. Anyway, he could have come up with a friendlier statement rather than what he just said.

On the other hand, the employee in Thundermatch today handed me the Package (Without monitor) with an additional RM 150 for a monitor and granted me a 3 years Dell Warranty. I am just unhappy that I have to pay additional fees and created a 2 hour conversation just to collect a PC.

Thank you.
