About that accidental spill, I dunno.. It can only happen when someone is trying to use a cpu on that mobo.. I believe nobody will go around holding thermal compound on top of new mobo just for fun.. People will only hold thermal compound near mobo when they wanted to put a cooler on top of cpu which already installed to the mobo... let's just hope it won't happen again..

What I mean by their own pricelist is each branch only stated what stock that they take for that particular month, so that the customer know the items listed in their branch pricelist is available only at that particular branch for that month.. i'm not suggesting each branch to put their own price..
I'm not sure though if it's reasonable.. It's just a suggestion because it's disappointing when we want to buy something that is available in KL pricelist, but when go to JB branch, the item is not available..


Question :
When I send a mobo for 1 on 1 exchange, the new mobo box, should I receive a full accessories or not?
That new mobo that I got last month comes with complete accessories..
But today the guy at the shop who manage my 1 on 1 exchange suddenly call asking about some accessories and want me to return it because there's another guy who bought a mobo without some accessories..

why? coz old one need to be complete to send back factory otherwise it will be rejected

i see.. so that guy mistakenly give me a new full set? coz when i return the faulty mobo, i didn't bring any accessories..

that guy didn't properly check before giving u the new one...if he ask u nicely should send the accessories back...if not asking u nicely you should give back aslo + doh.gif

I call most of ur branch include mines, jusco cheras selatan and ioi , they all say dun have P4 lga775 board ~~ WTF ~~ =.= I even ask them HQ got or not, they say dun have =.=~~

I think the person who pick up the phone is newbie staff la, don't know how to search... We definitely have Biostar G31-M7 775/Intel G31/DCDDR2 800/PCI-E 16x/SATA /VGA/Sound/Lan Mainboard in Times Square, Low Yat, Imbi, and many other branches (IOI don't have lol, that part correct). Sorry for the inconvenience, I will forward this issue to the management so they are aware of the staff lacking in training.

Disappointed with the service given by the staff over at the Digital Mall branch.

I bought a Seagate 2TB hard drive, from the shop because they didn't have any more stock for the 1TB drive and that was the only shop which was selling the 2TB model.

The thing is, I wanted to refund the drive after finding out that I don't really needed the 2TB now.

Point 1, on the back on the receipt it is stated "Items listed are considered sold and neither returnable nor refundable, otherwise a cancellation fee of 20% on purchase price will be imposed."

So, I went back to the shop 2 weeks after the purchase date and I wanted to refund the drive with the 20% cancellation fee.
The respond that I got is that they can't do it and it has been "too long" since the date of purchase.
And yes, the person in charge told me that they had to do a procedure to check the item whether its defective or not, but their technician wasn't even in for the day. I wouldn't mind going through that because I know for a fact that item isn't fault.

But the thing is, the staff didn't even inform me when I made the purchase that supposedly if I wanted to refund the item, that it had to be made within 3 days. It is not even listed on the terms on receipt.

And about the prices of the items, its really doh.gif "competitive".

I apologise for the lack of information given by our staff, I'll inform the manager in charge so they can brief their staff about this. Thank you for your feedback.

Edit: I just realised about the 2 weeks part, missed it earlier. Bro, 2 weeks is too long for an exchange or refund la... We can't put every single TnC on our receipt else will be 2 pages long receipt everytime print lol. But we will explore to see how we can avoid this from repeating, thanks again for your feedback.

why does thundermatch have so many complains? i thought a well-established company should have near-perfect staff management and this thing shouldn't happen. just saying my point of view wink.gif

Well no company is perfect, and in a retail line where floor staff rotate all the time, it is difficult to please everyone all the time.

And as usual with all forms of feedback - Good service is never reported, bad service is always reported.

Unfortunate but true... for the thousands of customers who are happy with our prices and services, they don't take the trouble to compliment us (99% probably don't even have LYN accounts), but the unfortunate minority who do, will take the time to complain when they can. As consumers, this behaviour is expected, which is why many companies (especially I.T. line) don't have feedback threads.

But we strive to improve, and that's why I'm here smile.gif Hope this helps.

hello thunder_kaminari,

I bought a Asus motherboard few months ago from thundermatch.
Now it seems like I have problems with the onboard USB ports. My other pc components are not bought from thundermatch. How do i send to diagnostic and warranty services? Do i have to dissemble the other components and just send the motherboard to your shop?
How long would it takes normally for warranty services?

I always thought Thunder Match Jusco Cheras Selatan provide one hell of a service. I do hope they expand their outlet there because i think it is a little too small.

Hi zero,

You can bring your whole CPU for our checking and if it's the mobo's problem we'll help you disassemble and send for warranty. Or you can just bring the mobo to us if you're absolutely sure it's the mobo's problem. Usually warranty takes around 3 weeks (Standard industry time), in rare occasions up to 2 months. Hope this helps.
