Fighteden: Of course they will replace it with the correct screen.

kfthoo: Congratulations! Your initial shots have a warm WB. Adjust it using Live View and Custom WB. Also, they are slightly underexposed.

btw, i was thinking, out of the blue... since sony picked up Alpha series... why not come out a Omega series? (2 line of DSLR?)

then ppl will say, sony is the Alpha and Omega of DSLR? (sony is the beginning and the end of DSLR) LOL

btw, i realize something, the younger generation (born in 1990's) they seem to 'dont know' 'nikon or canon' they know sony, and they thought sony were DSLR for very very long time.... lol, it seem, sony might not win the hearts of diehard old man nikon and canon... perhaps it will win the hearts of the next generation tongue.gif (1990's were my sis and all her friends... we hang out and shoot a lot of photoes, thy love sony's picture)

i agree with wat u say... but me as a part of "younger generation"..... i chose it for it's good deal... and it satisfies me... somehow quite a lot of frens ask me to go get canon b4 i spend more on sony... but it doesn matter... i'm happy with sony... although b4 i bought my 1st sony, i was eye-ing on canon... keke..... the more i get into this hobby with sony, the more i like sony.. keke....

here in lowyat, ceriss (Foto Edar G Flr, BBBintang) is selling a550 body for $2650/- only.
Maybe you can use that as a price benchmark for negotiation. smile.gif

Other shops such as Zaloons studio, Boing etc are a few others

I do not know. I have not bought any from them smile.gif
I'll be flying to KL next week and plan to buy myself A550 + 1680CZ lens + (maybe) F58 flash.
Shops that I wish to visit... Zaloon Studio (definitely a must visit... Sony Alpha centric shop), Boeing & Foto Edar BBBintang.

hi fellow alpharians. i have a sad news to tell here.
i finally quit sony alpha to join another camp.
the reason being that sony takes too long for an a700 replacement, there's no alpha with hd video recording capabilities & all my business partner is using the brand i've jumped to. other that that, there's no reason i guess to jump ship. yes, i'm venturing on videography too and it's essential to get a cam that is able to use lenses without any adapter.

but that doesn't mean that alpha is not a good cam. I thing they're one of the best and it's true that it should be ranked among the 3 major dslr brands of today. I would definitely recommend sony alpha to any of my friends who wish to join the photography world. I still thing that f58 is the best flash around and no other can beat its awesomeness.

anyways, i won't be leaving u guys as i think sony has the best community and every1 is there to support each other and i dare to say, better than any brands. i will join u guys for any activity but that if of course if u guys still want me. smile.gif

and btw, i'm selling of this 2 item right now:

Sony 55-200mm f4-5.6 DT AF
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1310121&hl=

Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC UWA lens
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1310116&hl=

it's sad to leave alpha and i wish goodluck to every alpharian in pursuing what you guys love best.
long live Alpha!

I just reached 1k on my a550 and I'm so glad I chose this camera as my first DSLR. From a point-and-shoot compact camera to a point-and-shoot DSLR. For me, nothing beats that!!! rclxms.gif
