hi fellow alpharians. i have a sad news to tell here.
i finally quit sony alpha to join another camp.
the reason being that sony takes too long for an a700 replacement, there's no alpha with hd video recording capabilities & all my business partner is using the brand i've jumped to. other that that, there's no reason i guess to jump ship. yes, i'm venturing on videography too and it's essential to get a cam that is able to use lenses without any adapter.

but that doesn't mean that alpha is not a good cam. I thing they're one of the best and it's true that it should be ranked among the 3 major dslr brands of today. I would definitely recommend sony alpha to any of my friends who wish to join the photography world. I still thing that f58 is the best flash around and no other can beat its awesomeness.

anyways, i won't be leaving u guys as i think sony has the best community and every1 is there to support each other and i dare to say, better than any brands. i will join u guys for any activity but that if of course if u guys still want me. smile.gif

and btw, i'm selling of this 2 item right now:

Sony 55-200mm f4-5.6 DT AF
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1310121&hl=

Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC UWA lens
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1310116&hl=

it's sad to leave alpha and i wish goodluck to every alpharian in pursuing what you guys love best.
long live Alpha!

btw, i was thinking, out of the blue... since sony picked up Alpha series... why not come out a Omega series? (2 line of DSLR?)

then ppl will say, sony is the Alpha and Omega of DSLR? (sony is the beginning and the end of DSLR) LOL

btw, i realize something, the younger generation (born in 1990's) they seem to 'dont know' 'nikon or canon' they know sony, and they thought sony were DSLR for very very long time.... lol, it seem, sony might not win the hearts of diehard old man nikon and canon... perhaps it will win the hearts of the next generation tongue.gif (1990's were my sis and all her friends... we hang out and shoot a lot of photoes, thy love sony's picture)

True.. Time will show that sony is making its way to be accepted by public...

Auuuu... no wonder saw your wts thread for ur new UWA lens. I wish someone from sony can hear this, as all this while i also have been thinking the same

"the reason being that sony takes too long for an a700 replacement"

is very true... is taking way too long... hope they pay more attention for intermediate models than just focusing on the entry levels.. Jumping from entry level straight to fullframe like A850 might b a big leap for some ppl like me. taking another half a year... im sure many will leave alpha as well when there is nothing they can upgrade after a while. sad.gif

Anyway always feel free to visit us here from time to time.. and share share what u learn from the other side of the force. I can understand when your business partner is using a different brand is very hard to interact n work around.. cant share lens.. cant share multiple flashes are just among the issue. Good luck in your business flex.gif

eddybeh: Where'd you hear that? From a shop? They like to say that about other shops, but truthfully it is almost impossible to get a underwater set Sony Alpha product.

SHOfrE3zE: Sad to hear though I picked up the wind from your brother's account. Let us know if you can get the same color from your D300s... because I can't, and it quite puts me off.

clivengu: Congratulations on your F58!
