QUOTE(albnok @ Jan 22 2010, 11:50 AM) kfthoo: The Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 is a really fun lens, because it can focus on whatever it is touching! you mean it's macro capability? i find that it has a very close focusing distance...20cm only...with magnification 1:2.3 but some review mentioned that the lens suffer soft corners at 17mm...anyway, it's still a better alternative to replace my dt1870...

QUOTE(freddy manson @ Jan 31 2010, 09:10 AM) how was it as ur walkaround lens? currently im using 50mmf17 most of the time but the range.. pairing it with 18-135 30mm is nice for portrait also.. a bit wider than 50mm (not sure about the sharpness tho) some ppl mentioned that 50mm is quite tight on aps-c, so i think 30mm has a wider angle, which is more useful as a walkaround lens.....will post pictures when possible for c&c later... may be likito can share some experince...he has a minolta 28mm f2.8....
