If can't afford to go far away, then go to neighbouring countries also is OK. No need to be keeping up with the Joneses.

Before going, just take precautions (like going for jobs if necessary) and during the trip be aware of the food you eat and drink.

if you like country like japan and you end up spending going to place like europe also not satisfied...

It is a matter of budgeting, mindset, and of course how much money you make. I am faaaar from spending 10K on travel currently, though hoping to get there at some point...

This thread started 10 years ago. You can hardly go out of SEA countries with 10k budget if you want to have a decent trip now (air tickets, hotels, transportation, food, attraction tickets, souvenirs)

Now the title should be changed to "will you spend rm20k to go travelling. " 😁😁

Spend more than rm17k++ (everything included) for my 2 weeks trip to Europe (Italy, Switzerland and Germany).

I don't enjoy Japan so will not go back again to Japan. But my mission is to explore different countries except Bali is exceptionally to be missed
