Posts in this thread is ripe for the picking, I can't wait to quote each and everyone of these over-hopeful posts thinking that Malaysian iPhones would be significantly cheaper than the rest of the world. You'd be either naive or new to the way Apple price their products. You may have more leeway when it comes to entry level items or last gen devices but we're talking about their flagship product here.
I foresee hearts to be broken, supposed "pundits" and predictors slinking into the shadow where they came from, hang their heads in shame after the price figures are announced. Exciting times ahead indeed!

QUOTE(david9 @ Sep 10 2010, 08:26 PM) I dun think so there will be enough iphone 4 for ppl like us to get it locally unless we pay more $$$ If malaysia iphone 4 here is under maxis or digi warranty , if there's problem , maxis or digi still have to send back to singapore for help rite ? which mean singapore iphone 4 and malaysia iphone 4 are still under singapore apple store rite ?@stringfellow selamat hari raya brother, somehow this festivity breeds assumption based logic, and i bet there will be many to come. @david9 there is no Singaporean apple store, Maxis and Digi are the only parties responsible for warranty claims, it doesnt not mean you go over to Singapore they'd give you coverage.

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Sep 10 2010, 03:52 PM) For those that thinks iPhone 4 would be cheap, I'm sorry to say that it'll never happen The price would be about the same anywhere you buy and this is due to product pricing and control by Apple. If Maxis launches, the price would be RM2K+ range unless you're willing to sign an expensive contract with RM250 commitment monthly then that's another story. That's iValue 3, assuming if the plan for iPhone 4 is the same as the 3GS. If you get iValue 1, the price for the iPhone is still less than RM2,000.

Please stop these nonsense. Anymore arguments and flaming each other, YOUR POST will be DELETED and you can dicuss this via PM..NOT IN THE FORUM.
It's clearly stated that Apple Care is only applicable to certain countries as stated in Apple Protection Plan and warranty claims is where you purchase the iPhone from.
And please stick to the topic of this thread.
Thank you

Thank you dear DG, i think all this chatter about warranty claims, pricing and macbook pros should be moved to its respective threads, i dont even know if im still in the maxis thread.

Ya, please move all the debates of the warranty issues to other thread, here is all about Maxis iPhone 4.
By the way, Apple has officially announced that there will be no more free bumper for those that buy the iPhone 4 after 30 September. However, if you are having signal attenuation issue with your iPhone 4, you can still contact AppleCare to ask for a free bumper. Let's get our finger crossed that we'll be able to get our iPhone 4 before 30 September.

They should insist that the phone be taken back to maxis for further testing rather than relying on the customer's hearsay.

That's why I think once they stop giving out free case, i don't think it'll be easy to claim the free case eventhough if there is a death grip problem with the phone... Come on Maxis, people are waiting!!

Rather than keep on saying coming soon, why can't Maxis just give us a date at least we don't have to get disappointed week after week....
