It is not given by me.
some1 else in front given.
Then I leave feedback on Maxis website regarding it, then some1 call me on 2nd day,
initially he just give me some "official answer",
then I a bit unhappy, and do complain, then I directly ask him, JUST answer me, is that really no pre-order, yes or no,
then he told me, No pre-order..

Anyway, I cannot guarantee what he said..
cz I still hope pre-order exists before I go queue for whole nite.

if there is no pre-order, unless they have plenty of stock during the launching, else i can imagine Maxis sure will get lots of complains from those that queued for hours but couldn't get the iPhone...

That is what I leave in my feedback online.
And when they call me, I do explained, and also when I call back Maxis, I also leave this feedback.
Yet they oni able help us pass this to related department.

So we just can pray hard, those people willing consider about pre-order, if they stock is limited

You must be very new to these iPhone launch scene. People had been lining up in the States, UK, Australia and around the world, with no guarantees that they will get a unit when they line up, and yes, up to even multiple hours earlier, in rain or sunshine! How is it going to be any different with Maxis? Who are these Malaysian customers that are so special that they get special treatment compared to the rest of the world who lined up at their respective stores without confirmation or guarantees that they will get a single unit?

Get back to reality, please. When it comes to iPhone launches, it is on first come first serve basis. Hell, there are even people SELLING their position in the line to others on launch day, so that these other people can stand a chance to get one, again, with no guarantees.

Maxis can be smart and restrict attendance by opening up preorders like what Apple Stores did during their launch, but these preorders are only open 24 hours before the actual launch day, as demonstrated by the first five countries who got the iPhone 4 first. I got mine by preorder, but that also by staying glued to the screen, refreshing the preorder page feverishly and act fast when the preorder page opens. But then again, that is Apple, and this is Maxis we're talking about, and we all know what Maxis's track records are.

Bottom line? First come first serve. If I'm a smart would-be customer who want to increase my chances to get Maxis's stock of iPhone 4, I would just keep the inside info I get to myself, rather than telling it to every single potential customer and risk them stealing my chances to get a unit, wouldn't it? So, with this in mind, only those who are close to Maxis (premium customers, long -time postpaid customers, etc.) are privy to these info or opportunities. Expect massive disappointments by those who think Maxis would cater to you just to avoid "getting lots of complaints from those that queued for hours but couldnt get the iPhone". The rest of the world understood the reality of the situation, I suggest you expeditiously tone down your expectation and prepare to be disappointed, unless you keep yourself up to date and on the ball.

Every telco gets complaints,
Just like Taiwan has 200,000 pre-orders but the telcos only have 45,000-60,000 iPhones,
According to the link a forumer posted just now.

At least, they let those customers who not in btw 45000-60000, noe that they need not go queue up for few hours and get nothing.

people who pre-order also have to que for hours.
non pre-oreders cant go into the que and would be kick out based on a survey of whats happening from all around the world for the iphone launch.

put it simple, basically pre-orders would only just let you que and still not yet guarentee you will get an iphone that night.
stocks are limited so hence people que hours earlier to be front of the lines.
get it? smile.gif

What he's saying is to ask you kindly to use the search function available in the forum to seek/find the answers . A simple search like this below:

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Sear...highlite=launch

Anyway, answers are on the first post.

Wrong. Those who did not preordered were given a separate line to line up, but were given less priority compared to those who preordered. Based from the UK iPhone 4 launch, there were two lines, one for preorders and the other the non-preorder hopefuls. They let in at the rate of 5 preorder people to 1 non preorder, that way those who preordered stand a better chance to get theirs as well. Even so, even those who preordered are also turned down and asked to come the next day since the stock had ran out. I was lucky to get my UK iPhone 4 among the last few before they turn down the rest of the folks behind me and ask them to come the next day.

Let's just say that those who plan to gate-crash or try their luck without any form of black-and-white confirmation from Maxis are more likely to be turned down this time.

We are trying to avoid idiots like you who just simply ask questions and expect an answer. Be more resourceful and search. The answer had been posted here, all you need to do is search. If everybody only ask questions like you, who will provide the answer? Stop being a baby chick nganga mulut and start being more useful around here. We dont need more baby chicks nganga mulut kind of people around here.

I agree on the Singaporean launch, this is because Singaporean launch are based on the three telco stocks, and since they are limited, they had to revise the line to those who preordered only. If Maxis is smart, they should follow this example.

relax guys....
for now i would suggest register ur interest at maxis website and let them email us about the launching... its rather than beating the bushes over something we dont know about....

pre orders or not, it still beyond our knowledge, so i suggest just chill and let maxis give the full details about the launching ok? my interest now is the pricing.... as i may go for postpaid later on... so the earlier maxis inform about the pricing, the more time i could manage my financial since its after raya and budget is really sweat.gif

I knew about the iPhone launch in US & UK although i wasn't there during the launch. I just happened to read this from the Taiwanese Telco Far Eastone that only those that get invited through SMS are allow to be queue-up during the launching by showing their SMS to the authority. Since S'pore also work the same way, that's why i think Maxis might work pretty much the same way too...
