What is the purpose of audio cable there? To the amp?

Hi all, i plan to convert to Astro Beyond soon. i really like watching movei in HD.

But after reading this, abit worried, pay for 4 good channel but have to sacrifice the picture quality for the rest of other channel. (Wah Lai Toi, MTV etc etc)

For my old non astro beyond decoder, i found out that S cable give the best PQ.

Would like to check again, since the new decoder use HDMI to give the best PQ for HD channel, will it affect the normal non HD channel PQ, at least on par with the S-cable quality?

Well, 10 days of waiting for installer actually, not within 10 days!! 

Wonder y other ppl get their b.yond so fast not less than a week from register,,, 

In Astro B.yond, FIRST LUCK FIRST SERVE actually..

Maybe they have problems transporting the b.yond sets to Malaysian Borneo via a shipliner... I mean acroos the south china sea.. The delivery will be fast if they used MAScargo...

My only discovery. So very basic package.
At least U get the call from astro. I called them so many time but still no astro people call. Say within 24 hour. But now more than how many 24 hour already. After get astro call, another 10 day waiting I think.

I did not use a very expensive S-video cable, so for me the PQ for other SD channels seems to be the same

BTW, sad news is, I only managed to watch my astro for 2 hours after the B.yond installation... After a heavy rain now totally cannot receive signal, and need to wait the technician to come and resolve this issue.

yes, this is the main concern.. as for me, i've no doubt on the HD channel eventhough it's 720p n upscaling
to 1080i. But what about the rest of SD channel? My wife sure will  after those free promo of astro byond been
briefed  by me for last couple of weeks, end up the SD PQ worst than current composite cable set up  
And all those NatGeo, History n sports mostly watch by me only...

are u sure the SD PQ from old astro better than new astro?

learned to watch NFL.. to fully utilise HD while waiting ESPN HD to become available..

btw as someone just say, TS really need to post to FAQ @ first page for those newcomers
