rite now using the composite for my astro coz there's no s-video for my sammy.
Hopefully by using the hdmi will be slighly better than composite for the non HD channel PQ...
thinking of component.. but need to rethink after read those feedback from  forumers

Agree!  For now,i'm using a Panasonic 40" Plasma and i'm using HDMI to connect the Astro Byond to my TV. But it seems that, when i watch SD channels using HDMI,the PQ seems to be a bit lower compared to if i watch SD channels using composite. Can you explain why is that so? Or is it just me that feels the PQ is lower.

Received sms from Astro notifying me the Astro Installer; and just received call from Astro Installer, they will come to fix tomorrow noon.  I registered on 2nd January 2010, consider very lucky on their fast service.

Well, 10 days of waiting for installer actually, not within 10 days!! 

Wonder y other ppl get their b.yond so fast not less than a week from register,,, 

In Astro B.yond, FIRST LUCK FIRST SERVE actually..

Maybe they have problems transporting the b.yond sets to Malaysian Borneo via a shipliner... I mean acroos the south china sea.. The delivery will be fast if they used MAScargo...     

And for new TV, yeah, cheap. RM2499 minimum (need to buy 32" minimum because need 2-3 HDMI ports, one component port, one composite port and one VGA port. And I insist only on Sharp brand because I'm most familiar with Sharp TVs, and TVs from Sharp with that many connections only come in sizes of 32" or higher)... I currently still pokai from buying the PS3 and then a PSP Go (because of PS3 remote play) and then a PSP3000 (US model because stupid local PSP Go cannot load comic book reader- region-free my foot) and that useless Intensity Pro. Plus room no more space

30/12/09 first call
05/1/10 4th call as no confirmation from astro
06/1/10 verification from astro.
12/1/10 Installed using old ODU.
13/1/10 Change the ODU to new ODU.

Signal 190 using measat 1. I try to change to measet 18 got 220 but how to confirm.

Btw, the installer say need to change the ODU as future receiving migth not work if using old ODU.

The quality much better than my old astro decoder that using component cable.

from my observation - through the HDMI source, SD is not that bad actually...just try to adjust the colour tv if you're not happy...

i've also used the component output from beyond to my LCD's component in - not sure why but i still prefer SD via the HDMI source...

so yeah...just try both inputs for SD - no harm there
