QUOTE(RAMChYLD @ Jan 4 2010, 10:49 AM) Last time I change mine, it stuck. But my decoder has different problem: it keeps resetting channel to Australia Network and volume to 50% when I switch it off. You did answer "Yes" when asked to confirm, right? There is no "YES" or "OK" to confirm/save my new setting.

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 4 2010, 10:58 AM) No no.... the component output is SD, 576i....only 576i.... so when u feed this signal to ure tv, ure tv will know automatically what to do, which is resize it for u.... i feel that resizing done through tv looks sharper... TQ. Only thing is i also need RCA cable for audio. i'll try tonite!

QUOTE(apexg2 @ Jan 4 2010, 09:10 AM) so clear and strong la ur answer..sure ar?but...y they keep selling this item?i think somebody should try and give review here rite... Alright, I'll bite. YOU go spend RM300 (or what ever the price is) on a Monster HDMI cable and then compare it to the free HDMI cable Astro gives with B.yond. As to why do they keep selling them? Fools rush in. fuad

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 4 2010, 09:49 AM) yup...it works... and if u watch SD channels using component, it is much sharper....the scaling chip from my panny is much better than the decoder's ....what a shame I using Pana Plasma PV80H model and tested, HDMI is very good on HD Channel, but very bad on SD Channel. The compenent out signal distorted and composite out signal too much noise for both HD and SD channel. Astro guy came to my house on Sat noon with another new decoder and he can't solve the problem.

If your monitor support High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) then should not be a problem. BTW, is your monitor have speaker ?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-bandwidt...tent_Protection

Leeds knocks out MU from FA Cup, wins for Arsenal and Chelsea LONDON: Manchester United suffered their most embarrassing FA Cup defeat for 26 years when Leeds United pulled off a stunning 1-0 third-round victory at Old Trafford yesterday. This post has been edited by tHeRiDdLeR: Jan 4 2010, 11:52 AM

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 4 2010, 11:26 AM) component and composite resolution is always fixed to 576i... the changing resolution thing only applies to hdmi Sorry a bit naive in this area. If I connect both hdmi and component to my tv(toshiba lcd) do i hv to set it on the tv/decoder or it will auto adjust accord. to the correct resolution. Thanks.

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 4 2010, 11:26 AM) component and composite resolution is always fixed to 576i... the changing resolution thing only applies to hdmi wah.. this will be not convenient rite, do the decoder HD setting to 576i for SD channel and then set 1080i/720p when watching HD channels. each HD setting, password entry is needed and at least 9 buttons (4 for password + 1 for ok/confirm) pressing involved to for making seeting changes.
