I am thinking of getting the PS Audio Quintet that comes with 6 plugs in near future.

But then, I need to convert my UK plug to US type.  hmm.gif
The big concern is my SVS Sub with the heavy power cord. If I were to change a better power cord with the IEC type, will it filter out any unwanted noises in the SVS bash amp?? Can this improve the sub performance coz I still believe its original power cord.

About SVS u have to ask htkaki d lo... tongue.gif

Always upgrade from the source first to yield the best result. Then towards the final gear.

E.g : BDP/CDP --> AV rcvr / Amp ---> Sub

Yes, my Dune Prime is using IEC plug. So, I can change it. If fig 8 like in Pana BD60, then have to get adaptor to connect IEC.

For audio part, i think changing the BD60 power cord of 8 type will not improves any further as the lossless format is being bitstream to our avr to decode. Just my opinion.

Added on May 25, 2010, 6:37 pmUnlike cdp where digital signal is being decoded internally......

I always plug the power cord to my avr 1st since I am using a few sources. This is to maximize my 'investment'.

My PB13-Ultra is now being hooked with Kimber Kable Classic PowerKord tongue.gif along with XPA-5. Denon 4310 on XLO Reference 2. Prime 3.0 on Lorad.

The PB12-NSD is on Lorad as well as the 1910.

Spent some time listening to asherteoh's sunfire. I must say that when properly set, it is really pretty good. Small footprint. Big on bass. Difficult to localize, and all this with no Audyssey. Definately can go pretty low and loud if u want. However, when properly setup, I think its accurate.

I went to Sg Wang Plaza & saw A&L Audio Station selling PS Audio Quintet new unit for only RM1.4k...is this cheap? According to them, this filter is very laku...

The owner says Subwoofer is not recommended to plug into power filter/conditioner for that matter as it may lacks the omph compare to direct from wall socket hmm.gif

I shall try out my brandless power strip with a subwoofer.
Tested with power amp and sounded better than direct wall socket.
I think it can also vary at different places as the supply is not consistent at some areas.
