QUOTE(geforce1999 @ Dec 31 2009, 11:26 AM) Actually, tube traps come in many sizes. You just have to look for the right one for your room AFTER you identified the root cause of the acoustic problems. Sad to say that DIY tube traps are very difficult to get locally. You can source from oversea but then, the price will be high. |

QUOTE(moviebuff @ Dec 31 2009, 12:36 PM) There is a Rel strata 5 subwoofer for sale on star audiofile audiomart column. Selling @ 2 Ks plus. worth it or not? How is it performance? When was the ad? Please check with the owner if the item is still available for sale. I feel that RELs are more suited to music. |

QUOTE(moviebuff @ Jan 1 2010, 09:38 AM) Bro, caroscope, the ad on the Rel subwoofer was put on the 10th of Dec. You can check it on thestaronline website. you said, the subwoofer more suited for music. How about for movies? The reason I asked for the date is because The Star ads are usually being posted a few days later after the seller wrote to the publisher.Possible that it is already sold. Errr.. No idea what it sounds like when it comes to movie. Do drop by CMY to find out. Or you can contact the seller and check it out. |

I shall try out my brandless power strip with a subwoofer.
Tested with power amp and sounded better than direct wall socket. I think it can also vary at different places as the supply is not consistent at some areas. |

QUOTE(mikapoh @ Jun 16 2010, 11:43 PM) Recently I bought XLO Reference power cord, is this power cable good ar? My guess it should be Ref 2. SO far, my mid-range has opened up. They are good power cords with tighter bass, control and focused vocal compared to the XLO Pro series. Current generation is Ref 3. |
