Inglourious Basterds is the best QT's film. A must have BD collection.Yes, the dialogues is superb. My fav part is in the bar scene in Nadine. the soundtrack have a nice tracks also. This time the OST didnt include dialogues line like KillBill 1n2. |

I also got one Uncle Ho 25GB blu-ray. Beyonce: The Beyonce Experience Live concert but I think the original also 25GB disc if I'm not mistaken. So far no issue with the quality..

Just tested 'Hitman'. Surprisingly that its gunshots' effect is as good as Taken
 . In 'Taken', the sound of the Audi really intoxicating  I can feel the power of the car.Now, waiting for District 9. Hopefully can get it in time for this weekend. |

While Durian/Panda BDs PQ & AQ are almost as good as original through our naked eye or via our mid-range equipments, other factors should be consider.
One of 'em is the disc may get stucked in your BD player (especially the tray version, PS3 too...) because the el cheapo ink used on the disc surface (especially along the centre ring) can melt and the residue can stick to the inner rubber spindle (that spins the disc) - due to excessive heat during playback! Press eject, and presto... the disc is gone!!  Just be careful wif the Durians & the Pandas... |

This 3D is becoming quite a gimmick for any animation or walt disney movie. I've seen many trailers of 2010 movies and all have 3D eg. toy story3, shrek forever, how to train your dragon, despicable me, etc. Sadly, bluray won't have such gimmick Hope AVATAR will have 2 versions though. |

and my house got termites!!!! spend RM1.3k to do the drilling to deal with it luckily they din eat my speakers....but my two book shelves gone case...need more $$$ to replace them |

To clarified my previous info (in The Official Blu-ray Thread V.4) regarding Life [Blu-ray].
 Previously, I read some reviewers' comments in Amazon UK, their claimed that Life is actually 1080i instead of 1080p as claimed by BBC. However, based on info at the back cover of Life, their have stated some short elements of the programme are interlaced (i.e., the credit rollers). Their also mentioned that due to the nature of filming in remote habitats some image are not full HD. |

just finish watched district 9.
well, not impress as what i thought. 1st, the early 30mins suppose to be cam-like but it doesnt feel like cam shot. more like dvd resolution no more cam feel like i watched in cinema.AQ not really impress at all. bass not very good as T4 or ROTF. anyway, there is few scene got nice bass, when the small spaceship take off and when wikus on the robot running, can feel the step of the robot. the nicer part AQ in this movie is when the robot zap the human, the splashing sound damn nice...feel water splashing in front of u ops, forgot to add in inglorious basterds i watch this afternoon... boring movie, almost fall asleep. maybe not my type of movie. I thought all people who buy BDs watch a movie for the experience, to be immersed in the movie with the (mostly) great PQ and AQ. If you just watch a movie for the sake of the movie, makes more sense to buy pirated garbage no? If you don't support piracy, original DVDs are also cheaper. Personally, after watching BDs, I can't stand to watch anything else. Much less on a pathetic 14" laptop screen...or worse, 3" PMP screen *shudder* |

Digital copies are ok for family titles generally in my opinon because kids love watching when they go on journeys or out of town (one way for parents to keep their kids at bay
) or watching on their own device at home in the other room so won't bother parents using their BDp & hdtv. But there are some titles which in its nature of not being a kiddy movie... yet titles that adults alike won't be watching on their mobile devices like: The Pelican Brief!!?! No offense, this is one of my favourite political thriller but... do we really need a digital copy for this title? |

Anyone watch Che (Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray] (2008) before?
 It will be released on 19/01/2010 with part 1 and part 2 inside. Review from www.blu-ray.com give 5/5 for this movie. Seem like good movie bo. just finish watched megan fox body...
no nen nen to see PQ quite good...no complain AQ...not much on surround.. no sudden sound that will make u piss on the pants too... just an ok ok title...at this price, not recommend to buy |

A friend of mine kena the same as our bro low98944. His BF order was classified as "undeliverable" & his order was given a refund...wtf!!!?

i guess have to follow as amazon customer service suggest, wait until expected delivery date, then only they will entertain our refund/resend request |

A weirdly enjoyable craptacular movie...in the same vein as Snakes on a Plane I guess. You know what you're gonna get when you watch the movie. Hope the release is good, would probably get it just to experience the audio properly. After catching this at KLCC, I remembered why I stopped watching movies in cinemas. |

Wanted to watch "Behind Enemy Line" yesterday evening and found out the movie got something wrong, it showed 1080i and it is like zoom to 1/4 of the uppper left hand corner thru out the whole movie including intro and java menu etc. At first, I thought it was the projector or PS3 problem but pop up another title has no problem.... after trying out a couple of the setting, comfirm is the title issue
The thing is I bought it brand new via Amazon more than a year ago and never tested it and now looks like need to get a ahem BD to have it replaced since it is only 25GB |

Managed to watch Ghost Rider Extended Cut yesterday and I think it is one of the best PQ I've seen on a live-action film on blu-ray!
(not because I'm a Nic Cage fan alone... ) The funny thing is, the whole movie is so clear, sharp, crisp and the movement is smooth... as though I'm watching it through a Motion Flow or 100Hz HDTV, while my LCDTV is not. The movie however, is so-so ajer... worth my $7.99 purchase! |

Sony and Panasonic have announced that they have developed a new optical disc evaluation technology that will allow the layer capacity of Blu-ray media to increase from 25GB to 33.4GB using existing Blu-ray laser diodes. This would presumably allow existing Blu-ray hardware - including Blu-ray Disc players and burners - to play the proposed discs with a simple firmware upgrade. Currently, disc evaluation is accomplished by analyzing disc jitter, but at higher capacity, that technique becomes unreliable. Sony and Panasonic resolved this by developing i-MLSE (Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation) evaluation index, which can perform the same function as jitter but at higher capacities. Computing MLSE is typically a very processor intensive process, but new advances in hardware development make this not only possible but also in real time (similar to jitter). No word on when or if the Blu-ray Disc Association will evaluate the proposed layer capacity increase for inclusion in the Blu-ray spec, but with Sony and Panasonic two of the largest Blu-ray members, it will likely happen sometime later this year. I finally managed to watch about one third of Dark Knight. The bass is so loud I actually have to lower my sub volume. Never have to do that with any other movies before. Dark Knight is just silly loud

Hey guys anyone looking for the Band of Brothers Blu-ray steel box and Godfather trilogy should head over to amazon uk.
Coz the total price, including shipping for BoB is maximum RM100! and for Godfather is RM105! Plus, both is region free( as the images look like the ones from amazon us anyway)! You can confirm from blu-ray.com. I'm getting the Godfather trilogy!
