Added on January 1, 2010, 12:35 pm since it only used 20k to make, maybe he donated some money? [/quote] I think if I remember earlier we have to register our name in their website in support of the movie in order to bring it into cinemas if I'm not mistaken. By the way got any New Year good deals in amazon....I only notice Air America $7.99 (just released on Nov 09...now so cheap already, I wonder why), My Bloody Valentine (1981) also $7.99 and James Bond Never Say Never Again $8.99. |

QUOTE(robertngo @ Jan 3 2010, 12:22 AM) is this movie banned in Malaysia? i would believe that a movie about maxist revolutionary will be bannned. though che t-shirt can be seen every where, he must be rolling in grave if he know his image is being use the capitalist to make money. "There's something about that man in the photo, the Cuban revolutionary with the serious eyes, scruffy beard and dark beret. Ernesto "Che" Guevara is adored. He is loathed. Dead for nearly 40 years, he is everywhere - as much a cultural icon as James Dean or Marilyn Monroe, perhaps even more so among a new generation of admirers who've helped turn a devout Marxist into a capitalist commodity." |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Jan 4 2010, 02:08 PM) No......lah QUOTE(fadthil @ Jan 4 2010, 02:23 PM) Quote from blu-ray.comI fear that many viewers might miss out on the opportunity to experience the amazing filmmaking present in Brokeback Mountain. I can't imagine why any film lover would want to intentionally avoid the film's powerful performances; it's not an emasculating experience or one that will leave viewers scarred. Given this newest opportunity to experience the film on Blu-ray, I hope that those who have made a point of not viewing the film in the past, will reconsider that decison. It’s a powerful and resonant film that is so much more than any pre-conceived notion might otherwise convey. Brokeback Mountain is highly recommended. QUOTE(low98944 @ Jan 5 2010, 11:52 AM) Sony, Panasonic Propose Blu-ray Capacity Increase Does this means BD movies be cheaper or otherwise Sony and Panasonic have announced that they have developed a new optical disc evaluation technology that will allow the layer capacity of Blu-ray media to increase from 25GB to 33.4GB using existing Blu-ray laser diodes. This would presumably allow existing Blu-ray hardware - including Blu-ray Disc players and burners - to play the proposed discs with a simple firmware upgrade. Currently, disc evaluation is accomplished by analyzing disc jitter, but at higher capacity, that technique becomes unreliable. Sony and Panasonic resolved this by developing i-MLSE (Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation) evaluation index, which can perform the same function as jitter but at higher capacities. Computing MLSE is typically a very processor intensive process, but new advances in hardware development make this not only possible but also in real time (similar to jitter). No word on when or if the Blu-ray Disc Association will evaluate the proposed layer capacity increase for inclusion in the Blu-ray spec, but with Sony and Panasonic two of the largest Blu-ray members, it will likely happen sometime later this year. Tomato souce: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3977 This, I think, got mix effects. Some of the movie will reduce size from BD (50GB) to BD (33GB) or some movie will reduce from 2 Discs set to 1 Disc only. On the other hand, some movie may increase number of extra in 1 BD. |
