QUOTE(shacxz @ Dec 29 2009, 09:16 PM) Please note that the price of Inglourious Basterds (2-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray] has increased from $17.99 to $20.49 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages. Actually, $17.99 maintain quite long when Inglourious Basterds is about to release. I even put it in my list for few days before order it.This is really stupid.. i didnt even have the chance to check out yet... huhu |

Just finished watching Part 1 of Stephen Chow Chinese Odyssey. Still feel very funny even though 1995 Hong Kong's special effect is really crap compared to current technology.

I never amend shipping address since the day I key in the address. if previous order can delivered, then it must be postman problem. QUOTE(fadthil @ Dec 31 2009, 10:05 AM) Why don't you reply Amazon and tell them maybe the postman can't read the address pasted on the parcel clearly because maybe it was torn, damage or something la... which is not yours & postman's fault that it's not readable.... since your address is valid (prove them they've sent your previous order to this address before, they sure got record wan...) See what they say.... maybe can resend wif same price? I already wrote to them and pending reply from them. By the way, still got ppl not yet received order during BF? My parcel is shipped on 24/11 and the estimated deliver date is Jan 3, 2010. I am just about to write to them on Jan 3 and their already refund me back so fast. This is replied from Amazon:
Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this issue has caused. When I checked your order, I found that it was returned to us on December 30, 2009 as undeliverable. I've looked into your account and found that we have processed your return and issued a refund to your credit card on December 30 in the amount of $37.95. The refund should appear on your next credit card billing statement. While we do not have any further information about your package, you can find some common reasons for undeliverable packages here: http://www.amazon.com/o/tg/browse/-/3608471#why Regrettably, some packages are returned as undeliverable through no fault of the customer. Occasionally, one of the following situations may occur: - The label may have become smudged or torn in transit, so that the carrier no longer had a complete shipping address. - The carrier may have accidentally delivered the package to an incorrect address (an address other than what was on the shipping label). Because undeliverable packages are automatically processed as returns, we are unable to re-ship such packages. I apologize I'm unable to fulfill your request and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However, as you will be refunded the full amount you can place a new order for the item. I can understand your overwhelming interest in purchasing these items. If you would still like to receive these items, please return to our web site and place a new order. For your convenience, I have included a link to the product page here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GCUO16 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JT69IM In an effort to compensate you for this inconvenience, I kindly request you to place a new order for these items with our retail store using "Expedite International Shipping" and write back to us with the order number so that we can ship these items free of shipping cost by either waiving off, or refunding it. To write to us, please visit the following link and include a copy of this message. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/g...-questions.html When you place an order please be assure that we will pay the shipping charges for your order. Please note that we will not be able to apply this free shipping for the items offered by third-party merchants, hence place a new order with Amazon.com. For your reference, the shipping address we have on file for this order is: xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx If this is an outdated address, you may want to delete it from your account so that further delivery mistakes do not occur. To add, edit, or delete an address from your account, go to "Your Account" (www.amazon.com/your-account) and click "Manage Address Book" under the Address Book heading. For security reasons, we do ask that customers make changes to their address book themselves. Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon at Amazon.com. I had wrote to Amazon again asking for $15 discount if I reorder both of these BDs. Let see how Amazon responce for my request since it is not my fault. This post has been edited by low98944: Dec 31 2009, 11:52 AM |

After I send a request for $15 special discount regarding my undeliverable order, here is Amazon replied:
Hello, Because of the circumstances, I've made an exception to our standard policy. Please place the order and write back to us with the order number we'll issue the promotion which applied for your original order(#002-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx) Please let us know by clicking the below link: Please visit the following link to provide the information we requested: http:// I hope this solution works for you. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Did we answer your question? If yes, please click here: http:// If not, please click here: http:// Please note: this e-mail was sent from an address that cannot accept incoming e-mail. This is the reason I like to order from Amazon. Nice to do business with Amazon. On the other hand, Yesasia is really not too good when dealing with their own mistake. Last time, when I ordered 3 BDs from them which entitled me to Chinese Movie Buy 3 Free 1 promotion. However, when I finaly received my parcel, there are only 3 BDs that I ordered and my free gift (1 free BD) missing. I wrote a letter few days back and here is their replied: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for purchasing at YesAsia.com. Referring to your order xxxxxxx , we are sorry that the free DVD is missing. When you place a new order, please leave us a message as "please add the free DVD of order xxxxxxx" in the customer comment column before you submit the order and further arrangement will be done. Please do not reply directly to this email. Should you have any further enquiries or comment, please refer to http:// That mean if I want to claim back my 1 unit of free BD, I still need to purchase additional BD from them. |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Dec 31 2009, 05:21 PM) My next order from them, if any, probably I will use express service which I believe their will incur more on shipping cost. I will probably order 1 BD only but their need to pay express service charge for 2 BDs. |

To clarified my previous info (in The Official Blu-ray Thread V.4) regarding Life [Blu-ray].
![]() Previously, I read some reviewers' comments in Amazon UK, their claimed that Life is actually 1080i instead of 1080p as claimed by BBC. However, based on info at the back cover of Life, their have stated some short elements of the programme are interlaced (i.e., the credit rollers). Their also mentioned that due to the nature of filming in remote habitats some image are not full HD. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Dec 31 2009, 09:52 PM) just finish watched district 9. Oh no!!! well, not impress as what i thought. 1st, the early 30mins suppose to be cam-like but it doesnt feel like cam shot. more like dvd resolution AQ not really impress at all. bass not very good as T4 or ROTF. anyway, there is few scene got nice bass, when the small spaceship take off and when wikus on the robot running, can feel the step of the robot. the nicer part AQ in this movie is when the robot zap the human, the splashing sound damn nice...feel water splashing in front of u ops, forgot to add in inglorious basterds i watch this afternoon... boring movie, almost fall asleep. maybe not my type of movie. AQ only good when in shooting scenes. the rest quite normal. About "Life", I just finished watching part 1 of disc 1. The PQ, I think, same as Planet Earth. Except Life is more focus on life of animals and plants. For presentation, this new series of documentary have included short film talking the problems their faced when filming those documentary and how their overcame the difficulty, this is the part that Planet Earth didn't included (at least for US version of Planet Earth). Life also include high definition collaboration tools for you to tune your TV setting and stereo or surround sound setting. |
