QUOTE 1. Any of your passengers (back seat) complain of loud sound (sound cause by wheel contact with road). Any solution to this? 2. Passenger (back seat) is bumpy (intrusive) when go over pot holes? Any solution to this? 1. downgrade the rim to 16" and used quiet tyre (at least 55 or 60 series...) 2. i think no solutions (dunno other car that use multilink also facing this type of prob) |

Haha sorry I am not the organizer for emblemsPhelix is organizing the King Long Emblem set (Front and Back) There's another forumer here selling "Kia" emblem price if not mistaken RM120 but if you like to have King Long I can just place you to the list ... you can refer to page one for types of emblems and wheel cap available Official bodykits are not available yet in Malaysia - there are rumors that Naza will introduce new bodykit, some even gave the idea to drive down Singapore to install the body kit . btw what color did you book for your 2.0 ? as for phone number you better have Phelix's |

Guys,
Yesterday, when driving my Forte, i started to notice that my 'No Fastern SeatBelt' LED in the dashboard is not ON when i didn't do so. 1st, I thought the LED is burned, so i tried out by 'Pressing the Start Engine button' without pressing the break (While the engine is OFF). That way, i saw the LED is ON for 1 sec, then OFF again. It proves the LED light is not burn. Even the driving is moving, it still no warning. Is there any configuration need to set ? Difficult to accept that it is technical fault after driving the car only to 400km milliage in total. Thank you. |

QUOTE(4te @ Dec 28 2009, 10:47 AM) Anyone interested in getting the original KIA Forte wheel cap (as shown in the attached photo and a set of 4 pieces) to replace the Black NAZA wheel cap? I have managed to negotiate for a lower price if we buy 10 sets or more: Dear Forteans, Less than 10 sets: RM145 10 or more sets: RM130 The price above is COD and please add RM6 for PosLaju. Those interested: 1. 4te 2. lingwu 3. blitzdotcom This goup buy wil end on 6 Jan 2010. In order to get more sets and to negotiate for a lower price, I will keep the group buy open till 6-Jan-2010 and I will pay the supplier in advance on 7-Jan-2010. I will then collect the $ from you on 7-Jan-2010. This would be based on pure trust among us. So please do not pull out after 6-Jan-2010 ya You may find the photo of the wheel cap at http://www.kiafortemalaysia.com/showthread.php?t=56 as i am combining the group buy here, Forte Malaysia and Facebook. |

Thanks. the bodykit is not yet launch in Malaysia i guess.but i did saw the flyer shown by Puchong SA. basically the bodykit is different from SG as SG one is lower. it include side skirt, rear skirt, and bumper skirt (is this what you call)? they have other parts like shark fin antenna, emergency kit, hood engine cover (for EX i guess as SX already have), tinting, door visor, and one or two other things that i could not recall. I'm also looking into autofoam.com.my. But only sound proofing certain parts. Around the front and rear wheels, and also boot. Forte's wind and engine sound is pretty excellent I would say.. To solve the intrusive feeling when going thru pot holes, I was thinking to detune our CTBA to non-sporty settings (all SX suspension is tuned to sport; EX do not have sport tuned suspension), it will sacrifice the handling of the car. Most likely don't want to go that way. Another option, is to switch to more comfort oriented tyres, sacrifice performance.. well.. most of the time I don't drive above 120 km/h. I won't feel much impact if I were to change to non-performance tyre.. |

Hi Bro, thanks a lot for the info ... actually the soundproof for other areas of Forte is good enough just the tyre wall or wheel aches, so Yang Package (RM450) looks attractive and might solve the hollow tyre sound and I dont think it will void the warranty cos only the wheel arches and nothing need to be dismantled From their page : http://www.autofoam.com.my/autofoam/index....id=72&Itemid=88 * They quoted would not void warranty.. but I am a bit skeptical on those especially is words from them.. not from the Car's manufacturer since we are the one that facing problems when claiming for warranty. "2) YANG (soft) Package. The next step is to apply our fantastic Roar Killer package on all 4 wheel arches. Roar Killer is the MOST effective solution to reduce the complex Tire, Road and Engine roar. Rave reviews from our Honda Civic club boys with some claiming up to 60% improvement even with ultra high performance sports tires.. Treats all 4 wheel arches. " BTW, anyone tried it before? |
