Guys,
Yesterday, when driving my Forte, i started to notice that my 'No Fastern SeatBelt' LED in the dashboard is not ON when i didn't do so. 1st, I thought the LED is burned, so i tried out by 'Pressing the Start Engine button' without pressing the break (While the engine is OFF). That way, i saw the LED is ON for 1 sec, then OFF again. It proves the LED light is not burn. Even the driving is moving, it still no warning. Is there any configuration need to set ? Difficult to accept that it is technical fault after driving the car only to 400km milliage in total. Thank you. |

QUOTE(iluvena @ Dec 28 2009, 02:36 PM) the bodykit is not yet launch in Malaysia i guess. I just checked the manual. Below is the extract :but i did saw the flyer shown by Puchong SA. basically the bodykit is different from SG as SG one is lower. it include side skirt, rear skirt, and bumper skirt (is this what you call)? they have other parts like shark fin antenna, emergency kit, hood engine cover (for EX i guess as SX already have), tinting, door visor, and one or two other things that i could not recall. i've ask puchong and according to the technician, its like that. only shown for 6 seconds. previous kia car have the beep sound if you're not wearing sealtbelt. but not for newer car release. thats what was being told to me. If the driver's seat belt is unfastened after the ignition is ON, the seat belt warning light blinks again for 6 seconds. If the driver's seat belt is not fastened when the ignition switch is turned ON or if it is unfastened after the ignition switch is ON, the seat belt warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds. At this time, if the seat belt is fastened, the chime will stop at once. From this statment, it is something wrong with the technician, the manual or my car ? |

QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Dec 29 2009, 08:23 AM) congrats... the key thing is to get the car to ur house... Issue #4 :i had a lot of issues over the delivery process too 1, 2 & 4 doesn't happen (touch wood), 3, depends on personal preference. i thought we have discussed 3 for several times the car is still new, i think we take singapore's fortes as a benchmark would be better since we share the same 1.6 engine with them. and the most annoying problem there is the self destruct windscreen... As common Kia Forte Problems, nothing special to say, but in any car, if it has a lumbar support on the driver’s seat, it is good. If it passes for 500 miles on a trip, the seat belt light kept coming on periodically, and it is very difficult to get out the chime (ding, ding sound) from the mind. Its four-speed automatic's overly wide gear spacing are some of the problems faced commonly by the users. How come there is a problem with the seatbelt light when the light wasn't functioning in the 1st place in Forte ? I went to SC to check with the technician, he dare to tell me this is a new car model, so he doesn't know. Then i show the manager the car manual stating how the seatbelt light should behaving, he also has no comment. When he did was he photocopy the page and told me he will forward the query to NAZA HQ. To briefly explain the problem i encountered, i found that the seatbelt LED in the dashboard is not LIGHT ON when the seatbelt is UNFASTERNED when the car is moving 60hm/h. So, i went to the showroom and test their show unit (FX model) with the SA, also the same problem. ALthough mine is SX, i believe it should be the same. |
