btw..astro b.yond or not..they still will be repeating the shows 80% of the time right?

i didnt catch it on the tv, watched it thru their website, they have put the video on the byond page

The new cable I Think will make the signal stronger..... trust me... change the cable cause you will regret later and complaint..... good signal make your HD experience (picture and voice quality) better.... 40 minutes to go huhuhuhuhu.... I already put stairs and open my grill for the installer to come in ..... will update You all later..... BTW I'm using SaMMY 7 Series LCD.....

And that is a good thing for most people. If they don't repeat shows 50% of the time, you'd miss out on a lot of great programs that run concurrent to each other. Even if you have AstroMax or in the future B.yond recording, and Astro only shows that program once, you'd miss out.

Got my astro beyond today and hd is pretty nice although i feel that there's not enough content at the moment.Hope they will add more hd channels as soon as possible.

they have enhanced the quality of SD channel by b.yond decoder,
for me is much better.

but i also hope to have more HD channel,
especially chinese channel..

Hi, been a lurker for years, my first post... Can someone confirm that the new cable between the dish and decoder is still RG-6 type of cable?

Still waiting for the installer here in Penang, it's been 4 days since the T&C briefing call.

SD channel got improvement?sure don't see any difference.

The decoder is much more responsive though.

Make sure they call u to confirm your order dont just wait the installer wont come !
I am in Johor.Applied on11-12-09, after order confirmed on 17-12-09 and stiil awaiting installation ! As I have said Astro and TM take it or leave it, they always win !! They have 100 % govt. backing !
Another silly thing is HBO, why is HBO having the same movies on HBO SD and HBO HD ? So we pay for 2 same channels ! HBO should have some brains to show selected hits on HBO HD!
About NGC why do they have NGC Rojak ? I think NGC Wild and NGC Adventure wld be fine.
Now the sound level ,why is it getting softer and softer ? From level 20 now i use level 35 for my hall viewing.!

Astro had already upload the commercial to their official website.

may anyone who already have it enlighten me, how many HDMI output the new decoder have? and if its only one, does it still have other output ie: S-Video etc?

If im using second decoder now, in t he same house, do i need to pay RM20x2 extra per month to have both the decoder change?

Thanks in advance. really am excited as the five channel now currently in HD is almost like the only channel i tune in everyday, haha. Especially super excited on History HD~~~ next bring on Discovery and Cinemax~!

it is because we can watch HD quality on their channel, i think this is the difference, if not why we only need to pay RM20 for the HD subscription fee but not depend on the channel amount?

i also have to adjust level 30 to watch the shows, but i feel the sound quality of HD channel is quite nice, same volume level as SD channel but i can get more better sound quality. my tv supports SRS TruSurround HD, is it have related with the HD channel's sound quality?


maybe because chinese subscriber is not their main income...

i also watch the b.yond tvc just now,
with a submarine,
but do not talk much on the tvc,
for the people who do not know this service,
sure don know what is this..

but still supported component and composite output.

if u have 2 decoder,
i think it is depending on how many HD subscription u get,
if only either one,
sure only pay for one,
not two..

Like I say before, the RM20 is for HD service and it's NOT for channel it self.
HD channles will be available based on your current package subscription.
