i think paraguay have show how to beat spain in the match just they dont have the cutting edge to score the winning goal, they chase down spanish player with the pass very quickly and no give them space. this make the spanish passing less accurate and no able to play they usual game. i if spain did not tidy up their defense more they will be in big trouble against the german counter attack, joachim loew can also copy how inter shut down the barcelona attack as his tactic, since spain have such a heavy barca influence.

I don't think it's out of the question for anyone to be bought. The last Italian match fixing scandal involved some pretty big clubs including Juventus who were relegated to Serie B. While it's logical to assume that rich players don't need the money, you cannot ignore human greed. The rich always want to get richer and there is never enough.

yes, anyone can be bought......as fellow Pool fan, our Grobbelaar was involved in match fixing (with a malaysian some more) when our beloved club was at its pomp..

i was looking for some meaty discussion (not arguing) from krk24 to discuss , on how the Brazil-Holland game could have been bought.....

not found any so far.....except that his `friends' around the world told him....

but its something i wont discount.....its one thing to earn few millions playing for a club....but another thing when a shadowy figure come and offer 10 times more.

and dont discount far more serious issues like threats to safety and family?

Why do people thing its such a shock that Brazil lost sweat.gif

Based on last season, man for man only Maicon and Cesar is clearly better than their counterpart in their position. You can't seriously say Alves and Kaka has been better than Sneijder and Robben, can you?

i think the shock is just purely emotions...if you are a follower of Brazil..that's how things are every 4 years....since they captured the imagination of the world with their fancy football, it has been that way...to many Brazilian supporters, the World Cup `ends' when Brazil is knocked out....so its always a shock when they go out...

can you imagine what will happen if Brazil doesnt qualify for a World Cup!

anyway, a good article on where Dunga and MAradona failed...

maybe match fixing is there in leagues. Just maybe

But this is the world cup y'all. It's once in every 4 years. And u really want to let the whole country down by purposely losing ? I dont think so

that is possible to happen with their qualification group, the south american qualification group is the hardest, it is not a group with at most two good team and the rest are whipping boys like in europe.

Duuuh..this match-fixing crap involving Brazil has been echoing since France 98'.. doh.gif
Everytime Brazil lost was due to the bookies...come on man, the Brazilian team are God-sent? They're unbeatable?
Everyone would loves more money but not everyone can be part of the history or hall of fame.
For those have lifted the WC maybe corruptable since they've been part of the history but for those havent i doubt they'll give up such opportunity.

Again football is about teamwork unless u got 'Thit Tao Kung' & 'Kam Kong Thui'... thumbup.gif

In any case, back to the discussion.

Spain will be vulnerable to German counterattacks, but that is IF they lose possession-they are extremely cautious and conservative with their passes. Especially in the opening 20 mins or so. Germany like to press forward to get the first goal, then sit back and defend, hoping to lob a hopeful ball forward to Ozil. Del Bosque will be aware of that, so i doubt this semi final will pan out like the Argentina game.

We might possibly get a rather boring first half, with changes made at half time. My 2 cents biggrin.gif

Aiya, if you really watch the Brazil game, you can easily notice the 2 different teams for the first half and second half. This is a very obvious and all the people watched this game have no objection about it. If that day Brazil win, I think the William Hills, Sbobet.... all of those big bookies will bankrupt in a night. Right now I also malas to watch it anymore, most of the games have been fixed. I got news somemore from one of my friend's friend who is a bookie, told him the that Dutch will win against the Uruguay and Spain will kncok the Germans out. And last Spain will be the champion. This is thier planning. But if all the people go to buy Spain win the tournament, then they will change the direction. So we just wait and see the results.

I think it's funny you mentioned Inter cause what Paraguay did was the complete opposite to Inter's tactics against Barca. Paraguay pressed all over the pitch which made life very uncomfortable for Spain. Inter on the other hand completely sat off conceding almost all the possession to Barca. Lowe will just have to choose 1 of the 2 whichever he thinks will be more effective.

I still think Spain will be a very different kind of opponent to what Germany has faced so far. England and Argentina really played into Germany's hands. What Germany have showed though is that they are a well disciplined team tactically and that they are devastating on the counter attack. Whoever gets the first goal will win.

really.....that is considered valid evidence? report you googled and pasted here was made in 2008...what happened after that?

its not impossible for matches to be fixed. What i am amazed is for every `strange score' or unbelievable results, we have people running screaming fixed! fixed ! in a football forum...

Perhaps this kind of discussion are still valid in a football forum here but at least, provide some kind of analysis so that we can perhaps come up with own conclusions if these matches were indeed fixed..

...for example...is Melo a dirty player? if not, did he took in few millions to stamp a feet on Robbe?

on the other hand...if i am a bookie (friends friends' of course...), of course my message to my `potential customers' will be
-these matches are all fixed.
-and i got the insider tip
-and if you want to get rich, follow my tip and get from me...

funny, all these tips came out mostly AFTER the matches....not before...

but since your friends said its already fixed for Spain to win...lets all make a quick buck eh? : tongue.gif tongue.gif

So now the Germany youngsters, fresh from humiliating the Argies, are ready to receive few millions dollars and sell the game away against Spain... tongue.gif
