De Jong's boot was high. I admit. But there's like a number of other players playing studs high like that. Its just that Alonso was going towards the challenge that made it much much more worse. And to be honest, if you've been following Alonso for a whole long time, you wouldnt guess that the player that gets into fouls the most, and resulting in the opposition getting red cards is Alonso.

So why you don't criticize De Jong then, go on. I would like to see you say 'Holland wrestling style of play have no class at all'. Oh and Bommel as well.

QUOTE
Sorry but i cant resist just lamenting this spanish-wannabe guy that "created" Dutch football.

OK, now please give me a quote showing Cruyff said that he himself created Dutch Total Football. As far as I remember, Rinus Michel was the inventor, and Cruyff was only one of the 'pawns'.

So its OK for the Spaniards to change their way of playing; free-flowing football to primadonna football, jumping and diving the moment there's chance or use the press to lure other contract-bind players and furthermore talking thrash before the game saying that we will beat this team, and that and whatever since they're so called the GREATEST ?
Thing is, it happens and its part of football. ALL of it.
Sadly, there isnt any Dutch-wannabe from Spain who would criticise for this.

Its ok for the Dutch to change their way of playing PERIOD.

Sorry I thought this Spain team had class. A class that is respected by the whole world. But after all the crap this year, not just in the world cup, I dont see it, or any part of it.

That's right, all of this is part of football. If you demand such class from this sport, you ought to quit watching it rolleyes.gif

Its funny though, that while people keep highlighting all dives from the Spanish, the Dutch were in fact are not short of such primadonnas as well. The fact that many people just keep closing their eyes on this, and keep talking trash about Spain is very astounding.

Its ok for the Dutch to change their way of playing PERIOD.

Change to what style you mean?

Yes dont get me wrong. Even if i do criticize the Spain for their football, im not gonna say the Dutch are playing it clean all either. But the manner of what he says is making it look like Spain are the saints of world and are angels dress in players. This coming from a dutch player who just loves to play in Spain, much more in the Catalonia region. And i believe he's a coach in Spain now aye ? So dont come telling me he's dutch and what not and shouldn't be talking about Spain.
Rinus Michel invent Dutch "football" based on Cruyff's ability to move around the pitch. Without Cruyff's ability, i'd say it will only take around a month before they are back to the drawing boards again.

I dont demand anything from the sport as i just said that i thought, the spanish team had class. All in all, this makes me watch football more.

Give me a forum when people dont talk thrash about the Dutch. Heck, there was even one dutch that even had a thread created just about his dives here. So dont assume as a fact that people are closing their eyes. They're certainly not, more so are people closing their eyes and pretending that Spain are saints and majestic creatures sent from the heavens to play "real" football. The way im looking at it, you yourself are blasting the dutch while closing two eyes on Spain's NT.

Did anyone said the Spanish are like saints? Did I? No I didn't, I just replied to all those who are so critical on the Spanish saying that how classless they are, but didn't mention anything about the Dutch. Why talk about class and quality winner, when in fact no one fits the word classy, and fits to be quality winner at the same time?

Yeah, and i replied to those who did think they are saints, further critizing the Dutch, but didnt mention anything about Spain's negativity both on and off the pitch.
And our topic now is about Johan Cruyff no ? He was critical of the Dutch but not Spain, which i think is very lop-sided of the fact that he works in both countries.

A class team which i thought was a team that won 6 trophies last season. Yeah, i thought i did saw it, but it amazes me how all of that diminished in the span of this year alone.
