QUOTE(StereophileDream @ Dec 27 2009, 03:38 AM) How long will it take if I apply a whole new phone line for Streamyx 4mbps?How long will it take to wire a new phone line and activate my Streamyx? depends. if you apply through agents, they have their own quota to control sales; normally takes 3-5 working days to install telephone line. there are not many company assigned for 4Mb's installation contractor. so, it will takes a few weeks, sometimes takes 1 month. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Dec 27 2009, 12:57 PM) I waited for 3 weeks before I got my cap increased to 4 Mbps. My case is exactly like yours. Contractor is hopeless. You should try calling TM several times a day and keep bugging them until they increase your cap. Insist on speaking to level 2 agents - say that you're a 4 Mbps subscriber. This post has been edited by vyzc: Dec 27 2009, 10:27 PM |

SAme here, it took 2 weeks to resolved my problem. Keep calling them everyday and make sure you speak to the same person. |

If you guys are existing streamyx customer, go to TM point and ask for INCENTIVE upgrade for 4Mbps... which you only have to pay RM130 per month without contract, modem, and line rental.
hope thats help. |

Hooray, I finally got my 4mbps upgrade today after almost 4 weeks.
Too bad surfing is slower than 1mbps. I get faster downloads - but only using a download manager (that uses multiple connections to grab single files), but apart from that it takes an absurdly long time to load web pages from all over the world. I'm wondering if it was such a great idea now. |
