Nope, f them gao gao if wan to charge extra, they need to provide solution since i am tie to the 2 years contract.

But they will assign base on the following condition(wat told by their engineer):
1) Your really experience weak signal.
2) Your area is not congested (both link and site congestion, dun really understand but they will check).

Keep calling them, i call more than 10 times for my case. (But dun scold them, can see they are willing to help, but i believe they dunno how to help only, so need time to escalate)

My experience
1) Line was ok when i 1st subscript to them.
2) Then line become super slow when they ask people to "potong"
3) Then light goes from green to yellow then red (wtf??), found signal weaker day by day (wtf again???)
4) Call to customer service, said site congestion issue. Waive part of my fee and ask to wait until date A.
5) after 1 month waiting, still got problem after date A.
6) call in, kantoi them and they escalate to 2nd level.
7) after talk to 2nd level, they agree to give me outdoor modem (ahhhh, i cant take my modem to other place liao, since its fix)
8) Contractor come to install (around 8pm until 12 mid nite, because i was not available before 8pm)
(this is wat i like compare to streamyx, where streaymx technician come without calling, then make appointment also didnt come.....)
9) problem settle.

Oh Gosh... so many steps... P1 so ma fan "troublesome"...

I heard YTL Wimax launch in July, coverage the whole Malaysia...
my contract with P1 is ended in August, if their int speed/service not improve, just potong P1... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

haha, i wanted to potong p1 initially, when the above said problem arise and take so many steps to resolve it.

But, i decide to stay with p1 base on the following reason, after they install the outdoor modem for me

1) Their line quality is ok compare to TM (before p1 potong them and they are still sleeping)
2) At lease they are working hard to solve customer problem ( i heard they just change their out-sources customer service to serve us better, where the previous was sucks)
3) I continue to support them because they are the one started to bring down Broadband price. where Broadband was previously super expensive beforehand (activation charge la, deposit la RM77 for 512kbps, RM99 for 1Mbps excluding the so call line rental which is RM26++)
4) give them 1 more year to improve services, else i will definately jump to ytl.

I heard YTL speed will be 3 times faster than P1... so just wait and see... rclxm9.gif

But I think P1 boss only focus on the share price... not really see much improvement of their technology development.... now many people (including me) complain whenever raining, the signal modem will change to Yellow/Red color... cry.gif

Again... P1 debts level is very high.... not sure if they still in the market after one year... scare scare.... cry.gif

my p1 was good for the pass 5 months with green signal. but since jan until now its yellow and frequently it will slow down until cannot access any site. but a modem restart will fix the problem 80% of the time.

is it congestion?

P1 Wimax always disconnected after approx 30 minutes

currently using my p1 wimax to play Heros of Newerth (HON),
some said p1 suck for gaming, but for me its okay..

however i got this problem where every 30 minutes, the game disconnected..
i have to launch mozilla, then i will be connected to the net again, and can resume the game..
but its annoying..

fyi, ping and latency is okay, ping 150+ for hon,
running on windows 7 ultimate..
modem upstairs, user downstairs..
tried all spot on downstairs, this is the best spot with:

RSSI : -67.08dBm
CINR : 10.55/10.23(R3/R1)dB
TX Power : 13dBm

the question is:
how do i set to connect to the net permanently?

Hi there,

im having an extremely high downtime for the past 1 1/2 month. I am unable to go online at an average of 16 hours/day in these durations, even if i am able to hook up, the line is terrible and disconnection is extremely frequent. This is my 2nd month subscribing with wimax, it is indeed a disappointment.

Below are the details of my problem.

Reception here is good, it either green most of the time or yellow, rarely touches red. Problem is, the "Dev. State" is always on "Connecting". For some reason it is extremely difficult to be "Connected". Please do help me out here.

i got trouble when try to make connection since the modem only just make green LED blinking... my wimax signal is strong...but it cant optain the IP from the station..... Why this happend???? in 1 week this problem happens 10-15 times.... Did that Wimax tower out of IP??

u must go to p1 hub.and terminate there, they will ask u pay penalty fee, but u claim that is p1 problem not ur. tell them u always got and facing connectivity problem, frequent disconnected, poor connectivity, connection interruption, poor careline n etc.
but before that i had call to the rubbish p1 careline for assistant regrading this issue 1st. but dont worry they wont entertain u at all, just will ask u do many unnecessary and rubbish setting, u ask them open a report for u. say u want to excurate to higher level n u are suffering v this poor connection all the time for few months dy....
after that i'm sure they do nothing v the case, (as they received million cases a day and they have no solution at all) as this is p1 connection and technologies problem, cant be solve in 1-2 days. after 2 cases i straight away go to p1hub and terminated, then claim that thier poor service, then they will let client terminate w/o penalty.when i there that day many mnay others also terminated.
hope can help those are suffer by p1 all the time.good luck

while mine is okay on signal reception, but it get disconnected every 30 minutes..

From your previous post, you said that RSSI ~ - 60+ :still ok, CINR ~ 10 Which is low. May be you can switch to a spot that have higher CINR?

I am not sure about comment on abubin. Coz i ping to "ping www.yahoo.com -t" for more than 2 hours after they install outdoor modem for me. Result 1% lost. Previously ping to yahoo, result 30-40% lost.
