Your technician had promised to call me in the evening from 9pm-10pm to guide me on how to lock to a station. They had called me numerous time in the afternoon and asking what's my problem. I suggest that you suggest to your technician to study my complaint history before making a phone calls. hi, i can get RSSI -78 and CINR +19
but TX POWER = 0 i move to other angles and other locations in my house - RSSI can range from -90 to -72 and CINR +13 to +20. i can maybe connect when really lucky, maybe once a day with TX POWER 13-15. but after 5-10 mins just disconnects and never gets TX POWER again. now i am on W1GGY 7 days trial. should i get or not ? or is it a base station issue ? or the P1 Router would have better TX POWER ? As i understand, TX POWER is the transmitting power of the modem back to the base station, right ? this means the USB W1GGY is not generating enough signal to contact base ? |

i was testing the W1GGY previously, now i changed to the router DV 230, now getting this. but the numbers fluctuate sometimes, esp the TX POWER jumps between 5dBm and 10dBm, sometimes go to 15dBm for one second and comes back to 5 or 10 again.
those numbers above is when the modem is not receiving or transmitting (idle). when it is receiving data the TX POWER goes to 15-18dBm and when uploading(transmitting) goes up to 26dBm. my DV 230 on my fridge now, its a tall fridge so my DV 230 is positioned high. still under 7 days trial period, should i keep it and get contracted for 12 months or just return it and get my money back ? ---------------------------------- Account no : 103674735 ---------------------------------- PS : i added more height, put a biscuit tin on top of the fridge. added approx 30 cm. now RSSI : 71 and CINR : 23. should i add more height ? a chair on top of the fridge maybe ? anyway, i am on the 9th floor of my apartment. SS2, PJ (Renting a room) - Due to work, i move into PJ. Connection was horrible as listed; 2.1 - Frequent DC 2.2 - Weak Signal 2.3 - Cannot VPN to Office Network in US or SG. 2.4 - Cannot upload files via FTP Your technician claim i live in borderline or whatever crap. 3. Selayang, Own Home - your technician said connection is wonderfull. So i move back home and to my surprise NO CONNECTION AT ALL, NO SIGNAL, NOTHING, NULL. Technician came and also agree with me, there are no SIGNALS AT ALL. He claimed he will check for me. Begining of May, i have very mild signals...it was horrible, worst than my time staying in SS2. I can only surf google. no video, no download, no upload, no youtube, i can do nothing!! 1. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN ASKING ME WHAT IS MY PROBLEM 2. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN SAYING YOU WILL CALL ME BACK WHICH YOU NEVER DID 3. DO NOT ASK ME HOW WAS MY CONNECTION CAUSE IT IS A RETARDED QUESTION 4. " It sick to reply over same thing over over and over again yes its the sames issues either green light dc + lag or no line but in green from 12pm>2am 100% lag until pages cant displayed. " My lagness+dc in my area havent being solve for 2 month. YES the issue didn't solve and its very inconvenience to me for getting such reply. see the attachment and tell me what the flying fook i can do with such connection everynight since the day i move back to hometown here! Please appreciate this post of mine cause this is seriously a miracle. Do me and you a favour...another round of 99 buck waive for this month usage... P1 disappointed users, this month would be the third month i am getting my fee waive. do not pay them and request for waiver if your connection is bad for even 2 weeks! Please cease your payment till problem solve and test it at least 2 weeks after fixes. Please do not return the modem and cancel your subscription, it will just make P1 job easier. Please do not return the modem and cancel your subscription, it will just make P1 job easier. after u place it at a high place. turn it 5 degrees wait 1 minute and check the signal, keep turning 5 degrees till u have turned 360 degrees. make sure u check every position after 1 minute. as long the CINR goes high (about 20dBm) then try adding height to the modem, put a book or something under it till u get TX POWER about 10, its quite stable. i have tried at every location in my house, including in the toilet. the thing with P1 Wimax is that you have to be really work hard to get a good signal. once i got a good signal, i left it there whole day. leaving it switched on. the signal seems to improve.
any idea what firmware are you guys on for the DV 230 router ? mine on v1.3.7-g1.2.6-p1 - Thu Sep 17 15:53:28 2009 i am sure there are newer versions, P1 haven't updated mine yet. its supposed to be OTA. Hi, I'm using the Wimax DV modem and I'm sharing my wifi with my roommate.
here's my problem: Whenever he's connected to my wifi network, I'll be having super slow connection that I cant even load google properly. sometimes I cant even load a page T^T Is there any other way I can limit his usage or at least makes my connection speed better than him? I'm using the old presario C series while he has the CQ40 series laptop, I'm suspecting that his wifi receiver is much better than mine. We're paying 60-40, Help me T^T" I might gonna kill someone for this seriously. |
