Hi, I'm using the Wimax DV modem and I'm sharing my wifi with my roommate.

here's my problem:

Whenever he's connected to my wifi network, I'll be having super slow connection that I cant even load google properly. sometimes I cant even load a page T^T

Is there any other way I can limit his usage or at least makes my connection speed better than him?

I'm using the old presario C series while he has the CQ40 series laptop, I'm suspecting that his wifi receiver is much better than mine.

We're paying 60-40, Help me T^T"
I might gonna kill someone for this seriously.

Uh, I don't plan on buying any wifi router. is there no other way?
Oh, and even when I tried using the LAN cable and let him use the wifi. I still has low speed connection.

Is it true that for DV230 the LAN connection is slower than the wifi? my other friend said so.
or there's some configuration that need to be made?

I'm using laptop, he wont be able to use the modem when I'm not home.

I just 'steal' this cable from my neighbor. lol no la.. do i need to set anything on the modem?
