I do not think there is ever a price drop in DA, it is more like rfm decided to take a plunge , is like 'now or never'...

Yes...no price drop, and I was just tired of waiting and took the plunge;). 2009 my sister wanted to buy there, intermediate (22x80) offered at 360k, I discouraged her saying it's expensive. 2010, went to sales office and intermediate already selling at 500k. I got offered by SA a corner at 720k, did a bit research, for new launches then with same builtup, landsize about 900k already...so I pejam mata and bought;). My neighbour (same phase, same unit type, landsize) bought in 2009 for 660k.

Talking about DASH...in 2008/9, during launches, in the map, there was that dotted line inducating a proposed hiway (think it was called NNKVE then). When I returned in 2010, on the brochure of new launches that time...no more dotted line;). I asked SA, what happen? One of them said it was a project proposed by the Federal Gov, they didn't have update, so they did not put it on the map. So, I bought the house without being too hopeful on the hiway. But now, can I say it's confirmed rclxms.gif . Anyone knows when the construction work start?

Jason_chee...even for own stay, if possible want to buy during low price. For a lot of people, it's like a whole life commitment, right?

Agreed, I think most ppl even for own stay, waiting for so called bubble burst is juz hoping to save a couple of years in commitment on the loan on lower price. Which phase/area u bought in DA?

Btw how u mean the DASH is now confirmed? Where u get the info from, I know it gets a big blow from the residents of Mutiara Damansara

About DASH, I'm also not very sure. The latest from Prolintas website, realignment of route shows it will go in between Mutiara Damansara and Damansara Perdana. So, I guess the prob with MD residents has been solved. Or is it just wishful thinking blush.gif

Anyway, I bought phase C3.

I fully support MRT to this area to ease traffic congestion.

The residents at Tropicana/Mutiara area are facing bad traffic congestion lately e.g. protest against opening of link with Ara Damansara, for the opening of Jalan Tanjung to connect to Bandar Utama although this is a private road, against proposed construction of an international school in Persiaran Damansara Indah. Are their actions acceptable?

rfm, agreed with u. everyone wanna buy low price. but in my opinion, not everyday a sunday. my mom bought a hse in rawang in year 97 and after 3 months, prop price went down. there's no right or wrong since it's for own stay and my mom can afford to pay it. for a poor family like us, most important is to have a house. i'm delightful with the house and look at the price now after hmmm.... 15 years. it went up again and it reach back my mom's purchase price. accounting wise, still making losses due to interest and bla bla bla. but it's for own stay anyway. it's priceless. smile.gif life is short... enjoy the time of staying in the house.

Yes, agree with you. That's why I finally bought eventhough price was getting higher, but for own stay, as long as you can afford to pay for it and like the environment..just go for it. We can't not be too calculative.

Totally agree, if buy for own stay, don't wait or hope the price will drop. But bank loan is a big monster, we work hard just to pay bank interest, especially for the pricing now.
And, I see from all the opinion here, most of the friend already don't mind to buy high value house, because worry that price will going up and up, that's why I said Developer NOT NEED to worry can't sell thier product, they can sell at any price now, haha.
Yes, we all know DA is good place, but price is become very high now, I think no more worth to pay that much for that place, I might choosing KD since the price already not much different.

Hi all! smile.gif been reading this thread and am happy to know that there are quite a few DA residents in here. I'm also a soon to be resident in DA. Purchased Fern Lane almost 2 years back and can't believe that time has gone by so fast and now it is very near to its completion. Last visit to DA was early last month and glad to say that so far i'm happy with the progress (on schedule). Anyways hope to get to know some future fern lane neighbours or any DA residents. smile.gif

Hi SSS,
I m another future fern lane too. Really look fwd to it. Starting to like the development a lot. I think the later DA completed phases are slightly above my expectation in terms of design, quality, lanscape, etc.
Been going to DA almost every week nowdays. My kids like the playgrounds there.

Tempted to buy one more for investment. Worst case can sell fern lane since the price already increase. Hehe..

A very good meaningful comment. Agree with you.

Its very important to own a house for own family stay. Whether the price drastically drop or stagnant, there is nothing to lose.

I have no exact idea, but from my experience yes. It could also be due to the increase of market price. My phase was launched in 2008, bought mine in 2010 (was told original buyer cancelled). When I compared to neighbour with same unit/landsize, price increased around 60k.
