company email or free mail?

if company email, this is based on my experience, it will be delayed like 3-20mins. im not sure this service provider issue or what la, since my company use in-house exchange server.

for free email, it seem normal, almost instantly

but i never bother la, the bosses also never complained

The line for DG Smart plan for BB must be a primary line.

I guess you can take your phone number and open up a new account so that you are primary and your plan is DG Smart for BB. You may also sign up for DG30 additionally , but that is not necessary.

After that , you can have your Dad's line placed under your account as a supplementary, and choose DG50 for this supplementary.

means u are using BES? on average i think BES is faster than BIS, but it depends on how many users are using it at that time.. more traffic = more delay
and i think your location matters too because i happen to know that the nearest BES to malaysia is in singapore so it probably takes a while to push your email all the way from singapore to your bb..

Nope.. after they ditched the BES idea, they ended up with BIS!!

As long can get email, they happy, my butt is safe!

can i upgrade my BB OS at DIGI center if i only subscribe the BIS ?

Hi , i recently bought a bb curve 8520, activated the digi BIS, but then i still cant use the BBM. Anyone can explain in detail on how to set it up? I have googled it around, but to no avail, most just mention that it will be automatically activated once BIS is activated, which is not my case. Help needed. Thx lowyat.

U guys know what, I got call from DiGi today to change the APN name to digistrm. apparently I can watch youtube. It says error loading media. I tried XENOZU player, it prompt that the service provider had block the packet.

So... I called up DiGi helpline, they advice me change the APN name from "digistrm" to "digistrm.net"

Anybody encounter this before?

yes, me too can't watch you tube. my apn setting is digistrm. shud i change it to digistrm.net? is it working for utube if change?

ermm not sure..but i dont think they can do that, unless they wanna do some extra money for extra service..
well, a lot of info on how to upgrade your os available in here..just make sure you have fast internet connection the file size quite big

it supposed to be straight forward..basically like setup ur email..
ever tried download bbm (directly frm ur mobile) at mobile.blackberry.com? & re-run it?

Or "digistrm" for BB and "digistrm.net" for youtubing?

anyone got problem with digi network? apparently i can sms certain people only using my storm...the rest of the people whom i send smses doesnt received them. I called digi center they said the line is fine...

BB services by default always use blackberry.net APN (Its not listed in the advanced options - so don't look there - its in the phone by default you can't change it).
If it is a service not supported by blackberry.net (like youtube), then it will go look for other APNs you have specified... like digistrm

So ya digistrm only for youtube and other streaming services ...no such thing as digistrm.net
