tried to register with Digi at one of its branches....said kenot coz i am never a digi customer. has to be more than 1 yr digi customer then can register (is it true???). I dont see this term on the website.
Maybe due to i am not buying the phone from them. Now has to try at klcc...
Has anyone experience this?

I did not encounter such a thing. I have never been a Digi customer and no one told me at Digi I could not subscribe to their BB Plan.

If you are not tethering, might as well use DiGi BIS. Can save money.

I registered the Digi BIS without buying any phone and I was not a DiGi customer prior to then. Go to another DiGi store.

Just curious. For those that have switched to unlimited plans on Digi, what were your monthly typical data usage traffic? Is the high data traffic mainly due to media streaming? for plain old emails and occasional browsing, the compression behind BB actually don't take up much traffic.

what they said is since i am never a DG customer, has to register at 'center'. Probably they're just that lazy coz don't get anything (i.e. commission) by not selling their phone.

update...
registered mine at klcc today. took less than 10 minutes. So far quite happy. But just want to check, there is no contract for this package right? can cancel anytime and no penalty?

Finally sold my blackberry 8520 sad.gif

Wait wait.....that's not the end yet...hehe

I will be back with a bolder BB soon biggrin.gif

Added on February 3, 2010, 9:47 pmSomeone pls enlighten me. How do I release my pin? Call DiGi CS & ask them to release my pin right?

1st, I chat with OCS but he went missing after I ask him to release my pin. I was waiting for 5 minutes but I guess he ran back home.

Then I immediately called DiGi CS at 0162211800 but they said that I cannot release my pin by calling them. I need to go to the place I bought my phone & ask for release code. I then asked her what to do with the release code? She said that the new user need to key in the release code to unlock his BIS rclxub.gif

Can someone help me?

it looks like the CS misunderstood your inquiry or maybe u asked him a wrong question

to release BIS pin --> must be done by telco

to unlock BIS for phone which is locked by carrier --> anyone can do this by using unlock code

Haish. I experienced BIS disconnected 2 days in a row. And my friend said, he also experienced the same with his DiGi broadband. My life is so freaking miserable without BIS... haiyak! But I got connected after 2 hours. Hope I will never ever experienced this thing again.

Oh btw, I only experienced this thing in Seksyen 7 Shah Alam. Near pintu belakang UiTM.. At Setiawangsa (my house) no problem at all. The speed is so laju there.

There is some data service outage according to @digi_telco twitter feed. But I think now all back to normal.

You should follow their twitter to get the latest update. smile.gif
