You should stay on Iphone since it is cheaper for ya.

But so far RM58 with unlimited BIS is the cheapest.

BB is better for productivity though as I am also working. With iphone, its all day playing.

So i m heading to klcc tomorrow as i need to sign for this BIS package.

Is it possible to change from prepaid to postpaid just like that? How about my remaining balance?

thanks for any enlightment...

You need to change to digi postpaid to use digi BIS. Either you change to Digi Smart Plan or you change to any call plan and subscribe Digi BIS as additional data plan.

You can keep your balance of course, I bet all telco also can keep the prepaid balance.

T-Mobile should not be a problem to our malaysia telco because T-Mo band is the same as our telco here.
I myself have a T-Mo 8900 using Digi BIS with no problem.

If you are not familiar with flashing BB OS, especially involving wipe all the phone OS and flash back the OS. I suggest please dont do it unless you had prepare to brick your BB.
This is a high risk procedure!

Ok. Since you are confident. Here are the steps to wipe flash:

1) Download the OS version that your want to flash
2) Install the OS
3) Use BBSAK 1.7 to wipe clean. DONT NO UNPLUG THE USB CABLE at any cost.
4) Run your loader.exe to flash the installed OS
5) This process will backup and restore your app
6) Beware on last step it will took very long time to initiate your BB. Pls be patient
7) Once all done. Let pray your problem solve

Not sure whether BB require this step but all Windows Mobile phone flashing advised to do so, make sure your the device having more than 50% battery to prevent it turned off half way during the flash.

Also, use laptop to flash in case power outage happen unless your desktop having a UPS to support it.

Flashing phone and power goes off / unplug may turn your phone into brick, beware.

just successfully ported from maxis to digi today and my digi line was activated about 1 hour ago
but until now im still not able to use BIS.. the status is edge instead of EDGE
i've done the following things
1) requested maxis to release my BB pin before port out
2) battery pull after putting new sim card
3) re-registered host routing table

is there anyone experienced the same issue b4? or do i need to wait for few hours b4 the BIS to fully activate?
how bout the entries in service book? do i need to remove all of them first?

Hi techgirl, my Digi smart plan is having the same behavior as well.  I don't perform tethering or connect to PC at all.

I guess Digi Customer Support still new with Blackberry service, thus I received pretty different information whenever I call them.

a)  First called and asked about the unbilled amount, CS1 said, no extra charges on internet usage, as long as I am using the Blackberry device. However, they can not see my unbilled bill until the bill is out. But said it should be able to waive it once I call back when I received my bill.  whistling.gif

b) When bill is out, amount is RM52.90 for GPRS, which minus some unexplainable charges rebate for Blackberry RM 9.67 and DATA PAYU Tier 1 RM4.58, so all in all I am still need to pay additional RM38.65 for GPRS.  Which after a call to CS, they said again they will try to waive it. thumbup.gif

c)  Recently, notice again the unbilled transaction is on the rise although i seldom make calls.  Call back Digi CS, same reply as (a) whistling.gif

d)  Tried D'chat instead, the CS2 said nothing need to be configured on the Blackberry, it should be automaticly configured.  But later when I asked about the APN settings, this round the CS replied APN should be set as "blackberry.net".  When I asked what is the different if I don't set it, he takes about 4 minutes to ask me to wait and say he will escalate it for further clarifications.  nod.gif

I am pretty happy with the Blackberry service overall but looks like subscriber like us may need to "escalate" this issue if persist.  At least help Digi to firm up their configuration needed on Blackberry to avoid unnecessary charges to subscriber.  If this issue persisted, it rather looks like Digi is cheating consumer money by tricks(no informing customer on correct configuration).  Paying BB services but still get to pay additional GPRS.  shakehead.gif

Just 0.02cents  thumbup.gif

I got my Bold 9000 in first week Nov. I had PAYU bills for my Oct-Nov & Nov-Dec Bills. I called them up in Nov and explained that I was on the BIS Plan why are there PAYU bills. They reversed the Oct-Nov PAYU bill in the Nov-Dec bills. I am waiting to see what happens to the Nov-Dec PAYU bills.

Apparently, Digi is no good. 3G coverage even in Klang valley is incomplete. People only like cheap stuff. Proton is cheap too.
