All,

I'm interested to get a BB and subscribe to DG smart plan, checked with DG, currently I'm on DG50 Family plan as principal line, if I subscribe to BB plan, I've to pay 58+50 monthly to remain my family plan.

Just want to check if I do this, is it worth? Since now I have total 5 supp-line that can call/sms/mms each others for free and 0.13 call rate to all network compare to BB smart plan 0.15. Any other plan from other telcos is cheaper than doing this?

Thanks.

Just to share this, I'm an existing customer for DiGi for more than 10 years, currently with DiGi 50 Family Plan, 5 suppline. I can change to DiGi Smart Plan directly, don't need to get any extra call plan unless you want to use call plan and smart plan as data plan. (eg: DG50 + DG58).

My BB service activated yesterday, I got a message saying that my handheld has been registered with the wireless network, edge changed to EDGE, setup everything via website and I got another message, welcome to DiGi BlackBerry.

Got excited and start using non-stop since there isn't much thing to do in the office, go check my balance, found out got charge around RM40, go online check with D'Chat, APN settings must be blackberry.net else will get charge, told them by default it is already blackberry.net, to be confirm, I delete the settings and enter it again, save it, reset the phone and continue using it. Went home check balance again, it goes up to RM60+ already, online and check with D'Chat again, told me no other settings need to be change, just APN must be blackberry.net, not diginet or empty.

My issue already reported to the bill department according to D'Chat, they will revert back to me in 24 hours time, will keep you guys posted.

Just to update, got a call from DiGi, they've made some changes from their side and it seem like the charges is stop now. DiGi promise the previous charges will revert back to me once the bill comes out.

Confirmed again, APN must put in blackberry.net, put in anything else or leave it blank will get charge PAYU.

You will only get charge if APN settings incorrect or use it as IP modem. Else GPRS, EDGE or 3G all works fine and no PAYU.

MAXIS IS SO MOTHER F! They like sabotage me from switch to DiGi! I changed owner's name to my name for my number, but after I re-register back to DiGi, I've been rejected again! WTF is going on MAXIS!

Now I have go back to KLCC twice and ask them what really happen. My mom now is working. If they ask my mom to come, then I will amok then!
*
Dude, just cancel the line instead. You'll face even more problem after the MNP. My parent's line were port from Maxis to DiGi, under me as suppline, after ported serious problem comes, both 012 line unable to receive call most of the time, the tone is ringing but the phone doesn't. Checked with Digi many times, make report for many times, issue unable to resolve.

Finally after my dad called up and stated he is from Bank Negera Malaysia, Digi got freaked up and quickly check it, finally found out the problem is MAXIS did not release the line properly, both line still stucked in their service. Due to my dad was complaining for his own line, so they manage to resolve it and it is working fine since then.

Due to my mom seldom use phone, she use it as a gaming console more than making calls but sometimes her staff and colleague will still call her via mobile and unable to get through. After she received complain several times, we started to do test on it, we found out that most of the Maxis line can't get through but other operators are working just fine. Finally after 6 months of complain and hassle that calls can't get through, my mom decided to give up that number and register a new number directly from Digi.

At the end, issue wasn't resolve and we believe that it got something to do with Maxis because ONLY Maxis line can't get through while other operators all working fine. So my advise to you, cut off and get a new line with Digi instead.

I am using Digi Smart plan . My APN setting : Enabled with epc.tmobile.com.

But still FREE ! Duno why ..

You are lucky probably. some even told me to put diginet. But from the tech person who called me, he said some users changed to diginet and it charge them. Maybe the system got conflict or what. I double confirm with D'chat, D'chat don't even know what diginet is and the tech guy said just put blackberry.net enough.

Just got off the phone with Digi's BB Tech Guru, he said no need to change the APN settings..it should be left blank! As DIGI BIS's configuration is running on the background + its fully automatic!

If ya wanna stream Youtube faster, then only change APN to digistream.net
*
Weird, I double confirm with 2 D'chat agents and Digi tech guy who called up to confirm that my BB bill, 3 of them all told must change to blackberry.net else I'll get charge. I did so and it stopped charging me. Different people said different story...

QUOTE(little_pixie @ Dec 31 2009, 05:22 PM)
Is that necessary to register at digi blackberry?
*
Up to you, setup on PC sure faster than on your BB. Some settings like signature, filter can only be change on digi blackberry.

Mine was blank at first but saw the folks here advised to set as blackberry.net so I changed it but still got charged. No matter it is blank, blackberry.net, diginet, etc, BIS always stays connected. So it's hard to tell whether will get charge or not, well since I'm with blackberry.net now, I'll choose to stick to it.

BIS is depend on your network which means you are actually on the same line. If you can't receive call then you can't use BIS either. I actually still reciving email while I'm on call or vice versa or no worries.

It's holiday week. Probably it might take some time to activate your service. Try call up digi CS and check with them.

You need to change to digi postpaid to use digi BIS. Either you change to Digi Smart Plan or you change to any call plan and subscribe Digi BIS as additional data plan.

You can keep your balance of course, I bet all telco also can keep the prepaid balance.

Apparently, Digi is no good. 3G coverage even in Klang valley is incomplete. People only like cheap stuff. Proton is cheap too.
*
You are just weird. If you don't like it then don't come in and flame others.
Digi still new, just need time to adjust everything. Don't tell me maxis don't have any problem before. If you are really that rich, don't stay here go some rich country, don't use maxis cheap plan, don't drive local car and get yourself a over million sport car instead. Don't tell me you drive some japan made car and call yourself high class, japan made are just are low end car as well..
Who told you only Klang having coverage? My friend who works in KL can get 3G and it is faster than maxis.

LOL. It's klang valley, ain't klang. I was giving my 2 cents aswell, why were you telling me those grandmother story? I'm not interested. This issue is well known, u can go ask people outside digi BIS coverage good or maxis. So don't talk cock here.

btw, you're funny. Japanese car is low end? Hahaha. So you think all continental car is high end? To me you're just a kid, you know nothing but pretend you know. Go google Lexus for example, see how much is the car selling at.
*
Haha. Your is not 2 cents obviously. If I go tell you maxis sucks without giving any reason or test before, what would you think of? Don't simply judge on people while you know nothing for it. Yeah you can be a fans for it but that doesn't gives you the right to go around and tell people digi not good and people choose it just bevause they like cheap stuff. Who gives you the right to say that?

If you say maxis is good then stay at your maxis thread, not going around and tell people digi is cheap. Just create a poll and check how many people actually port from maxis to digi due to the huge coverage of EDGE and cheap plan? Maxis aint perfect, their 3G not fully coverage either, just need to give them time to improve like what domunkun said. But you? No, you just simply give your crap 2 cents. You keep on saying maxis charge higher price because having some good advantage, then show us what's that? Don't even compare 3G, how long maxis were started and digi? Compare 2G and you tell me. Oh, you might say want compare then why not you go compare with celcom?.

Did I even mention a car manufacture? Hoq do you know I'm not referring to volvo, merz, bmw, porce? Read it properly before you reply some crap. You surely know nothing but want to prove yourslef and going around to step down on people to make yourslef better, I've seen too many of people like you, so stop your crap here and go back to your maxis thread or should I say some high class thread? Cheap thread here is not suitable to you.

No lar..DT8 has his/her freedom of speech. Just giving him/her my 2 cents.  tongue.gif

Freedom of speech of course is alright but saying others are cheap while making himself looks nice is just a moron type of behaviours.
Imagine I come to you and said you use digi? You are cheap man, it is not good, should choose maxis, don't use digi because it is cheap. Then saw you drive local car, man that's just cheap, you should get some imported ca. What kind of person is that?

Well if you come and say, get maxis because you can have 3g coverage for now digi still new, only edge most of the time, maybe you can change back later when digi improve on 3g coverage. Isn't that nicer?r
Car wise, you should our great government charge tax so high, don't day local made, some can't even afford to get a car but use a bike only, he can't just simply charge on things are cheap without think of others feeling. if you just say local made car quality not really that nice, feature less, if can afford get an imported one, don't get local made one, isn't that better?

After all, that's my 2 cents, he doesn't like it then leave it, I just lazy to reply to some hardcore fans to make them understand something.
