Guys,

Is there any SFF casing like QXBOX that support mounting normal size (eg. GA-965P-S3) ATX motherboards?
Been finding for sometime already but seems don't have. sad.gif

SFF usually = m-ATX or smaller.

BUT...someone did manage to mod an ATX board in the the XQBOX long time ago... with the PCI Slots etc facing the side instead of the back.

anyway, u wan small case with atx board u should take a look at Lian Li V600 or Lian Li A05.

u could also check the XQBOX ATX HTPC cases HERE

I dun think u are right on the pricing...
the price should be around RM2.5k.
saw ppl selling at RM2,499..

By the way...if i were u...i wait for Nvidia GT300 series come out 1st...
then the price for this item should drop...
New item sure expensive..
in fact it is the most expensive X2 card ever...

13.5 inch sleep.gif"
longer than a standard 12inch long ruler..
dun think most of the casing in the market can fix it...
Dun think CM690 can fit that in as well...
should need sumthing much bigger (deeper)

Hmm..i will wait for 5950!!!
lets hope its shorter!!

then we shall wait for gt300.. since all prices WILL DROP Eventually! but i read in some sites its around 600USD which equals to just RM2k.. give and take all the middleman cuts it should be around 2.4 - 2.5k? just worried about case space.. im sure RV01 RV02 and FT02 will not have a prob fitting this monster as your mobo is vertically mounted.

Added on November 23, 2009, 4:34 pmwei 2.5k can buy i7 920 with p6t and performance tri channel 6gb ddr3 ram X.X.. dam expensive wei!!

hahaha tot this is a casing thread...
but some how it become a pricing discussion thread...
anyway...to install this card i think u really need a giant casing...
expect the casing to be over 400 bucks...
reason??
again....take a 12 inch ruler out...
and u can feel how is 13.5 inch sleep.gif"

even if i won a competition and get the card for free...
i believe i will sell it off...and get an 5870 (2gb version maybe)

Well, its very big and good for movies. having a 5ms panel.. general gaming is ok, but for high fps they might be a little ghosting. if i were to spend my money again ill go for 3 X 24" 2ms panels with this giant 5970

release price of 4870x2 was higher lol.. if i can re-call it was 1899/1999 depending on brands.. 1699 is for the GTX 280..
the 5970 would be a better choice instead of getting 2x 5870 which is around RM 2600(double the heat source, more TDP) especially if ur going water cooling happy.gif

i thought that LL Full Tower, CM HAF932, Cosmos & Cosmos S also can be fitted by this giant GC.

Wonder how come the title is about casing support then ppl talk about pricing discussion. Please talk only based on the TS question.

I think it will fit the tj09 with the 120mm with aluminium casing fitted in.. why is not cooling ur GC? the 120mm provides more airflow for ventilation.. i recently upgraded my case to tj09 and i changed the front 120mm intake fan to something better - 90CFM .. its doing wonders for temps..

But then again ur running WC so ... ur temps is going to be low anyway

Hi, I'm looking for a new casing, the casing I am using now is a mini atx casing. I just bought a silverstone ST50F and I don't think it would fit in that casing. So I was wondering if it could fit in this Cooler Master Elite 360 Dual Tower / Desktop Casing?

If there's any other casing that you guys can recommend, my budget is below 200? thanks

well it depends on ur budget. if u hav an extra cash to burn, cosmos would be better. otherwise than that, cm690 should be fine. n since a lot of forumer here said cm690, it must be true.

in term of space, K-62

in term of airflow, Cm690

in term of balance, Midgard

do note that CM690 have little space opening for high end graphic card. HD5870 just barely fit and HD5970 just going to screw the case airflow like a total idiot. K-62 is better in both term, unless you are mentioning K-58 which more suited into those category of pricing (RM 250-300). but Lancool's casing got a problem with it screw-less mechanism but still a good choices. Midgard is mediocre and the build is somehow not as tough as it looks.

But in the end, its all about your preferences, whether you into airflows, spacing or just sheer looks.

i am not pretty sure myself whether my friend encounter unluckiness or what, but the back extension panel and the HDD panel seems a bit too fragile for a little rough handling.

That is what i'm encounter on one of the K-62/K58 that i play around.

For the price range, my vote go for Storm Scout.

If from the list, CM690 because good airflow

storm scout would win in term of beauty, and the airflow is quite fair in performance. The problem with scout is spacing. it can't even fit 5870 and 5850 just barely fit in... this will disturbed the airflow.

if you have to choose between those, i would say a solid K-62

if TS don't mind cleaning the interior from dust every now and then, HAF series is the way to go. The airflow is second to none and the look is amazing. but the problem come in is dust dust and dust...

try it, i bet you want to break the case into two. It make the all beautiful mid tower case look like a joke. Scout is smaller than CM690 in term of form factor and CM690 barely fit HD5870 sacrificing the whole slot hence the airflow. do the math with scout.

but since Lian Li is not in ur choice, go for k62.

I have a powerlogic allegra casing that might be considered SFF (it has almost ATX sized length and width, the thickness is shorter than full ATX). It can fit a full ATX mobo inside.

to TS,

I have this casing i bought 2 days ago, it can fit my PSU nicely since CM make the PSU fit in vertical mode in those casing, but make sure it will not fit with high end GC because the psu will block the big size of the GC,

i use MSI Nvidia 250GTS and i need to take out the PSU braket( the psu braket come with the casing) and only 3mm width available between the PSU and GC.

basically the air ventilation in the casing not so good if you use big GC(mid end~high end gc) because the size of the GC will block the air ventilation in the GC site and the ventilation in the CPU.RAM should be nice.

i use silerstone 500w modular( forgot the product name) price rm267, check it at Garage sale for more info for the PSU.

cheers,

Taka.

I own a CM690 and K-62.

CM690 looks better on the outside but feature-wise, nothing comes close to K-62 in that price range.

I love both cases but if I had to choose, I'd go for the Lancool.

You'll also notice Midgard's interior design is nearly identical to a CM690, but not as good-looking outside.

I would not say in a few days time, i clean my casing once per month on average (or twice or thrice when i am dead bored). and there are not so many dust to wipe actually. but i got a good tendency to see dust here and there stuck on the mesh grill, especially on the larger holes. Get a smaller mosquito net like mesh grill and install it between the fan and the large mesh grill and you are good to go.

Ask about new casings and casings you're thinking of buying here. Do not post all over the place about what case to buy, where to buy, which is better, which is nicer. Post it all in here.

Hi, am planning to outfit this rig into a casing but I'm looking for the proper one to go:

CPU: Intel i7 920
MOBO: MSI X58 Pro-E
GPU: HD5870 or HD5850 (maybe crossfire later on)
PSU: Odin 800W

Was looking through a few designs but can't decide on which:
1. Coolermaster HAF 922 or
2. Lancool PC K-62 (seems to be the "in" thing atm)
3. Any other suggestions??

I would like to have good air-cooling and may want to add water cooling in the future. Design must also be "cool". brows.gif

Also, can you advice as to any additional fans to be installed for proper cooling in the case? I like LED fans too. drool.gif

Thanks.

Just asking, what is the best casing under RM 300?

Some preferences: (Just agak-agak nia...)
- ATX board
- No need water cooling
- Emphasis on good air flow
- Prefer PSU at botton
- Got some removable air filters
- Can fit at least 160mm tall heatsink and HD5870

Thanks!

hi, can anybody suggest me any full tower casing to buy?
budget around rm600 to 700(can be more if the casing is have my interest)
need the light one not the heavier coz it will store 8 1TB hard disk and always move around with it(take it for balik kampung)
preferable with side panel without send it to mod
and must have good airflow that required to cool of my system

the are few model around RM3++ less than Rm400 loh. brows.gif

I personally would recommend Lian Li A05N loh. Around Rm340 and get a case with lots of potential for powerful setup loh.

yup, PC-A05N, simply the best mini tower in my opinion. Can fit in full water cooling as well if using micro-ATX board...

I like LED fans too.  drool.gif

Thanks.
*
if you have a big budget for a case, and planning to use watercooling in the future better grab a Silverstone TJ-07. It will promise the best quality ever.. But it's not cheap but the quality is awesome. It's an aluminum case and full tower too!~ biggrin.gif

Dunno about that casing, but I can say for sure that the 5850 can barely, very barely just fit inside my sagitta. It's hard to put in the 6-pins though, had to bend the wires to 90 degrees.

Anyway, make sure you have about 270mm+ clearing from opening to hdd to be really safe.

I need a casing recommendation. I'm planning on getting a brand new system built for me (budget: approx 5k for the CPU system (ie excluding monitor, speaker etc)) I was hoping to get the Silverstone Fortress 2, but no one seems to have it available locally. So I need alternatives.

My priorities are as follows (from highest to lowest):

Minimal dust - ie, must have filters in place on all intakes
Size - no bigger than the FT02 (212 x 497 x 616 mm)
Silent (not stealthy, reasonable noise is OK)
Cool (again reasonable, I'm planning on purchasing better heatsinks/ cooler rather than relying on stock functionality)

Budget - really dunno, I know what I'm gonna spend for the whole thing but not so much the individual breakdown. I was gonna ask the individual builders here to give me quotes as I can't build my own system from ground up. But I'll say approx RM800?

Feedback appreciated, thx!

Yeah, thought about it. It's currently a distant 2nd to the FT02 for my system. I'm hoping that there's another case that better meets my earlier criteria & is smaller & has more easily accessible filters for cleaning.

have u tried taking a look at what lian li has to offer?

i prefer them over silverstone's steel cases

the PC-P50 has been catching my attention lately and is being sold for RM699 HERE

u can also use that thread to check out prices....though unfortunately theyre a lil expensive as theyre the new distributor prices...

the old distro which was ATE was actually cheaper....u might still be able to get from ATE in lowyat plaza...but itll most likely be last stocks...theyre still the place to go for Lian Li though

dont limit urself to the PC-P50 (though i find it to be a good case, especially with the 100% tool-less installation)

go to the thread i linked and see the cases within ur budget and google them for reviews and judge for urself...

there are other lian li sellers in garage sales...u can use their threads to check out prices and models as well

oh....n check out lancool k-62 as well....based on the P50 but with a better HDD cage....and about half the price....unfortunately, its steel.

Why? Maybe there is a situation like this...

Buy a 400-500 gc, install crysis warhead, then play with maximum settings with 2x 24" monitors (1920 x 1080).... sweat.gif

rule of thumb

more fans more dust collective a case can be

dust filter just minimize the dust inside the case

it doesnt eliminate the cause smile.gif

Due to lots of traveling, now thinking of getting a smaller atx casing, actually i am a fan of ah lian a05 until i read about the casing having air flow(heat) prob. However, they said the prob can be corrected by modifications with i am not going to do cos lack of skills and tools.

so now some most important criteria for my casing is the dimension (not bigger than a05 in term of volume), then the net weight must be less than 5.5kgs.

after searching around, i found some alternatives using A05 dimension as my guideline (39,200cm3 )

1) xigmatek asgard (35,830cm3)
2) thermaltake v3 (38,640cm3)
3) CM elite 335 (37,132cm3)

can anyone comment about the quality of the trio? besides, feel free to recommend other casing that might suits my needs

I found my current HTPC fan noise level are pretty annouying. hence 1st step i did is changed the CPU heatsink and fan to fanless CPU heatsink (CM gemini II). Now CPU temp ~ 35C and MOBO~45C.

im no expert and need some recommendation to choose a casing for my HTPC considering silent is priority and running with typical temp for both CPU and MOBO.

Some shop had recommended me to go for CM sileo 500 for dead silent and silverstone KL01 for cooling. Please advice ... my budget limited to 500rm.

Hmm..susah sikit nih..

Silverstone raven rv01 can attach 1x 360 radiator at the rear, but in your case u want 2 360s....

I think, Corsair Obsidian 800D, will fit most, 1x 360 at the top and another at the bottom....

Hello everyone, i'm looking for a casing for my new setup, want it to be either a medium or mini tower, with a removable motherboard tray. Is that possible? I'm considering the Lian Li V351 also, but not sure the internal space is big enough or not. Can give me some suggestions?

(Would like to have black interior and window side panel if possible, thanks.)

Any recommendation for a decent mid tower casing under rm 200? Budget able to stretch to 250 if really necessary. Has to be able to fit 5850 at least.

i'll go for Gamma since it has better offering

black interior, 2x 140/120mm top fans

since both case can be equipped with side fans

think u gonna face some problem with high tower coolers

wont fit CCF cooler unless u sacrifice the side fans slot icon_rolleyes.gif

Better air flow system? The storm scout front panel there features 4 usb ports, yet the casing looks attractive. That's why it gave me a headache issue there.

Anybody knows if the CoolerMaster HAF X is out in Malaysia yet? My first choice would be the Corsair Obsidian 800D. Which is the most elegant casing out there without all those lala LEDs and lala-ish design but it's SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. I think CZONE has it in its pricelist at RM1.5k

Thanks for the recommendation. FT02 is not bad but I'm kinda sold on a full tower case =S and having USB3 ports is a must too so actually that rules out the Obsidian 800D. I hope the hideous monster that is HAF X will be brought in soon =) along with GTX 460.

Actually the more I read and watch youtube videos about the Obsidian 800D, the more willing I get to buy it. -.- ..... Stupid lust for inanimate objects. Please donate to me so I can seek treatment from CZONE or Viewnet to be cured.

Amazon lists the Obsidian 800D for USD270 which is about RM900. That's about RM600 cheaper than in Malaysia. ZOMG. Anyway I could import this case for cheaps? =)

Erm guys.. wanna ask abit..

In between HAF932 and Silverstone Raven RV01.. which one would be more reliable? in terms of performance?

Also, considering HAF X is around the corner, do you think it would be wise getting a Raven RV01? unsure.gif

all right!. thanks a lot man.

any of u guys know how is the cable management like for this case?
is there enough space for the excess cables to run on the other side behind the mobo?
i only have 2 hdd and 2 cd drives. so there's like kinda a lot of excess cables.

another question, since the psu is at the bottom, which way should i place the psu? should the psu fan be sucking air from the bottom hole of turned upside down and suck air from within the case?

Thank you. rclxms.gif

it is better tat u place ur psu's fan facing downwards so tat the fan will intake the cool air from the bottom of ur casing into ur psu. if u place the psu's fan facing upward then the fan will intake all the heat from ur casing into the psu which is not really a good thing. smile.gif

Hi guys, need some advice here. Now I've been using Gigaybyte Aurora casing (not 570) for quite sometime. I can say that the air flow inside the casing is not very good especially the front intake. First there is grill that IMO actually block the air, and then there is the HDD cage, with just holes to allow intake air to flow. Now I'm considering several options:

a) modding, to cut off the grill and some part of the HDD cage to allow more air (perhaps this can reduce noise too) - disadvantage is I don't have the equipment

b) buy a new casing; I'm looking at CM690 2 Advanced. Seems good to me, though I would like to look at cable management too.

c) get a water cooling set instead; expensive, but investment will surely last in the long run.

which option should I take?

Thanks smile.gif

Thanks for the advice. I've considered to do the BTX mod too, but in the end I think watercooling is much more fun to play tongue.gif After I'm done setting up the watercooling set, maybe I can start working on modding, especially on the fan grill sweat.gif

I planned to get a new chassis but this new CM690 II Plus has been in my mind for quite sometimes, and 1 thing that make me think really hard is... the front fan is not capable of cooling all the 6 hard disk cage.

Thus, I was wondering if any of CM690 II owner here ever thought of mod a 200mm fan at the front? Is the space enough to fit in a 200mm fan?
From the specifications the width is 214mm, making the 230mm fan out of question.
So can anyone verify this for me? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

And any other suggestion to make it capable of cooling all the 6 hard disk cage? 2 x 120mm? Please do post any useful suggestion. notworthy.gif

From what i see on the picture, it has an optional HDD 120mm fan to cool the top portion while the front 140mm blue LED fan is used to cool the bottom.

user posted image

Maybe you could add a 200mm fan but most of it comes like 200 x 200 x 30 - and the stock front fan is 140 x 140 x 25. Im not sure if 5mm would make a big diff biggrin.gif

Or if you're not running large GPU's then add the 200mm fan at the back of the HDD cage? one 140mm on the front and 200mm on the back, hehehe..push and pull config biggrin.gif

Oh, good idea... I had a run to the local PC shop to have a chat with the tauke and he show me 200mm fan with the CM690 II Advance... dissapointed... cannot... lol oh well.
Now I just need to fit another 120mm fan after the cage, great!

Thx for the guidance!

If you planing to go LAN party..then u can cosider abt taking scout...
K62 is more tough compared to scout while scout is more fragile due to most of the parts is abs plastic to reduce it weight,
so u can take it move around...
And K62 got more space to fit in large size Graphic card

K62 is a TRUE tool less case...even mobo screws oso tool less...

and the PCI slot tool less design is so far the only one that TRULY works. the rest all doh.gif

as for handle...even if i move the case around alot...i still wouldnt be bothered with the handle..

IMO CM690 II Advance is very good already. (with 6 vibration dump hdd slot)

3 7200 RPM HDD run MAX 42C at afternoon without aircon. Later will try 6 1TB 7200RPM see how it goes.

BTW, you can remove the big front fan and install 2 smaller ones to get a full cover for all 6 HDD.

I'm now considering the Cooler Master CM690 II Plus which is almost at my maximum budget of a casing. Any other options for me to consider around the same price? hmm.gif

hey, anyone can recommended a case for my current pc with:
a) good air flow
b) good vent (because sometimes I might on it 24hours)
c) medium or full tower will work for me

Current case is silverstone SG01 (the front and back accident during shipping) so the HDD cage and back graphic might not sit properly)

Budget less than RM 1k.

Thanks.

Can anyone recommends a nice minitower case?
Actually I want to get NZXT Vulcan, but due to budget limit, has to find a cheap one...
Price range not exceeding RM130 (40USD), good airflow, can support SLI build and monster card...
Right know I'm thinking of CM Elite 341, is this a right choice? hmm.gif

No, for SLi and monster card, I recommend CM Elite 430 ~RM 149

But, if you don't mind Sli, and big monster card, I recommend Cooler Master Elite 360, psu at the bottom better.

I know, that is why I recommend CM Elite 360 (RC-360), a mini-tower that accommodates micro-ATX and ATX motherboards.

simple wc, not for oc, just to look cool tongue.gif so the 240 rad can fit easily at the top.. this case got everything except extreme wc nod.gif

I really love Corsair removeable HDD bay. But both HAF X and Corsair 600T lack side window. HAF X got larger space inside for wc (but me only do small2 custom wc)
While 932 BE got larger side window and cheaper, it lacks rubber grommet~

TT v4 i dont know got how many fan, but Elite 430 come with only 1 fan. U should consider that also unless u already have fans to fill them in.

they have the same layout, but 430 i know dont have enough space at the back mobo to hide your cables. i hid the cables behind the hdd rack

HD 5870 is about 11 inches x 5 inches, so better choose other chassis.

sunbeam bag is pretty good but only recommended with mini tower and some of those mid tower. mid tower like cm storm sniper susah sikit laa mau angkat with that bag, but the case itself already comes with handle smile.gif

Yes! it's a perfect choice if you want to mod.
IMO,you spend RM130 for a cese, rest of your money spend on modding it.

Get modular psu for better cable management...

so far i have done 3 CM Elite 430 including mine for cable management...no problem...just cable psu bit though especially ATX 24 pin  laugh.gif

Modular is the best choice for mid tower like 430.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a very durable casing that can be carried around like a briefcase. Good ventilation would be a bonus. I've went to several shops in Digital Mall and none sold this type of casing. smile.gif

No lah, it's just that whenever I need to send for repairs/major upgrades, the current casing is very bulky and heavy to carry around. When I ride on escalators I always feel like I can lose my balance anytime. flex.gif

Do you know which shop sells master storm scout? Is there one in lowyat or digital mall?

haf 912 is slightly smaller than haf 922 so haf 922 has the better airflow due to it has huge empty space to do all the cable management. haf 912 advanced has black interior while haf 922 does not hav black interior. then haf 912 has the removable hdd cage to accommodate the highend graphic card which haf 922 also able to support without even removing the hdd cage. if u hav less space for ur pc table then haf 912 is the good choice but if u hav quite a number of space for ur pc table then go for haf 922. both also has cons n pros. still the last decision goes on u. smile.gif

The 912 casing that we gonna get is with window ! The window design itself is not very nice ! Other like interior black, fan filter , hdd Easy slot in ans out and usb3.0 is quite a plus ! The pricing Also a plus as it is slightly cheaper than 922! Anyone know the release date for 912 case in Malaysia? Or anyone had already brought it from online ? I wish I could get. A 912 advance without window version

Hey guys, TTV3 or Xigmatek Asgard in terms of thermal performance? I'm favouring Asgard because of cable management and pci clips. Am I making the right decision?

Edit: Most important attribute is airflow because my current casing is baking my components sad.gif

Hi guys, thinking of getting a mid tower. Either HAF 922, cm 690 2 advanced(cool hard disk dock but dont think ill be using it alot) or thermaltake element S. which one has better airflow? from what i have checked in reviews HAF 922 has best airflow among all three? but have no dust filters..anywhere I can get dust filters for all the intake fans? for the haf 922, for the one with the transparent side window, can i install a fan there? just want to ask also, will a bigger fan take in more air into the casing?

or any other recommendations for other casings? am looking for a case which has the external esata port, external usb 3.0 (optional but would love it if the case has it), dust filters for all the intake fans which are easily removable and a transparent side window where a side fan can be put.

Am looking at the specs below. Will the 3 casings above fit all these?

CORE I5 760
ASUS P7P55D-E LX P55 A-D3 SGLRF
CORSAIR PC1333 gaming
ASUS GTX460 TOP 1GB D5 / GTX465
DVD-RW 24X SATA
CORSAIR 650W TX

Thank you for the recommendations sifus here! biggrin.gif

these 3 case would fit in there without any fu**ing problem..due to your short graphic card,i would recommend u CM 690II dust filters do make a difference compared to a unfiltered case.

I am going to buy a new casing, HAF X, sometime at the end of this year. However I do notice that the intake part for the PSU does not have any dust filter (based on some reviews I read and user feedback) unlike some other cases e.g: Corsair 600T. I am very concerned about dust, so my questions are:

1. Will I be able to install a dust filter without any modding? If it is possible can someone guide/link me to where I could buy said item?

2. Or is it OK for me to leave it like that? Won't the PSU be damaged since it could collect a lot of dust in there?

ATM I am using USP100 and the interior is somewhat dusty considering it is less than 1 month old. I don't even know how it could accumulate that much dust in 2 weeks time. It really feels like living in the middle of desert where sand is everywhere and rushing to get into my casing, or someone purposely threw a bag of dust in there.

EDIT:
3. With all the fans, do I need to upgrade my PSU? Currently using i5 and 5770 and probably going to upgrade to 6870. Sounds like a stupid question but I'm really new to this kind of thing.

My budget is tight so my options are either TT v3 or CM 430 which I heard have a nice air flow but bad cable management. But the problem is I heard lots of people talking the top fan can't fit because of the cpu cooler. I'm using hyper 212 atm. So any recommendation for <150rm case?

but the selling price for the shop tat providing warranty is not attractive.

so i wanna make sure whether local distributor is giving any warranty or not.
if distri do provide warranty then i will juz get the cheapest, if anything happen then i will straight away look for distributor instead.

so the warranty only covers buttons, fans, IO port and cables rite?
they didnt cover for metal chasis rite?

AMenzZ say can fit. i also not sure. i think can.

i remember a video say scout can fit 12 inch graphic card.
6850 is 11.5inch so still have 0.5 inch for power cable.

hi all,

Thinking of building a small NAS using Intel D410 or D525 board. Most important thing to me is size (smaller is better) and wattage (lower is better). What board (and also corresponding psu) would you guys recommend?

Hello guys. Need your opinions. icon_question.gif I want to buy a full tower casing. Currently using CM690 II Advance. I've read reviews on NZXT Phantom. To bad the side 200mm fan cannot be installed because I'm using Noctua NH-D14. sweat.gif Got any suggestions for which full tower casing have good air flow? Prefer more to artistic gaming casing and my rig would be using only air cooling. nod.gif Thanks.

To all experts, i heard you need a special mounting kit for the ceiling fan. Normal screws will do the job? Anyway to put more fans in it?

btw, guys. I'm interested to convert my medium tower atx casing to SFF SG-02F casing I wonder will it be fit ?

I'm using Seasonic S12II 520W PSU the length is 120mm if im not wrong.
and gtx460 1024mb version. not too sure the length.

At such short in height casing, only scythe suriken cpu cooler fitted in?

You could try this or any Raidmax casing. looked artistic enough IMHO.

What casing are you using? AFAIK there's no special mounting kit for ceiling fan. can use normal screws or if want to reduce vibration can use rubber screws.

im using xigmatek utgard, just having problem with the hdd rack, quite difficult to take out, and the fans controller panel going damn hot after a while of using, so i refuse to use it, but it can control up to 6 fans in 2 channel. After than this the design is so cool, orange theme, it comes with 3 orange led fans, still luv it.

midtowers are midtower size. if you want big case, haf 932 is just over rm400. i have worked with the case a few times. it is huge and cable management is easy.

best midtower in my opinion would be cm690 II.

personally, haf932 advanced much better... smile.gif all black coating + dust filter is the best selling point (although we can mod it laugh.gif )... much better than previous 932.

thks for the proposal~
sry to inform i might go back to full tower (still in dilemma), i found haf is too fancy (too me), if my budget is ~rm800, is cosmos s a good choice among full tower chasis at about this price range? just need a low profile and not too fancy one blush.gif
many thks~

i don't think cosmos is a low profile case. i don't think any full tower is low profile. with RM850 you can get lian li pc-A77.

cosmos is ok for a full tower, but too much plastic for me. can also consider corsair mid tower 650D. coming soon locally.

both are good cases. 600T should offer better cable management over the raven. i like FT02 over the raven tho.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to find for a bigger casing which can fit a V6GT & HD6870.
I was looking at the CM690 Advanced II.
Any recommendation? Among the price of 200-300+?

guys if i add my budget to 400
what casing should i choose? priority good dust filter/mesh and not noisy when have at least 4 fan.
not goin to wc and prefer non cm.

take lian li a03 or a05 or bit fenix? i have no clue abt hw good is bitfenix
(they advice to add more fan but say it could be noisy)
lancool 10kg is quite a turn off~ but if it is not a dust magnet and silent then it will worth it ( read alot of feedback on newegg)

i would go for CM 430 due to it's moderate airflow system (it can accommodate up to 6 fans) n quite a good looking (black interior) case. smile.gif

u could try to put a side panel case fan as exhaust. hmm.gif

anyway, with such system, i recommend u to get a bigger case like Corsair 600T or HAF X. if u have higher budget then go for Silverstone FT02. it is a very heavy case n superb airflow. thumbup.gif

the HAF X is a full tower chassis whereby corsair 600T is a mid tower. if u r opting for spaces in the chassis then go for HAF X, but if u r looking for good air flow (even with the stock fans) then go for Corsair 600T. the HAF X stock fans kinda lousy especially the side panel. u cant even feel the wind. doh.gif

n of coz, FT02 is the best since it is the most expensive chassis among the other 2 chassis. great air flow. really respect. notworthy.gif

tats my opinion. tongue.gif

if its more then u can juz connect directly to ur power supply with the 4pin-molex converter which it should b provided. smile.gif

u need a screw driver, screws, a lot of cable ties, n if u r going to remove ur CPU heatsink then u will need alcohol swab (u can get it in any pharmacy n it is quite cheap) n thermal paste (this u had to get it from computer accessory shop n the price might vary depending on the brand n features). laugh.gif

budget please..

that noctua doesn't necessarily require a full tower. a thick mid tower like corsair 600T might do it for you.

Cheaper, larger & seems better cooling capacity.
