Hello guys. Need your opinions.  icon_question.gif  I want to buy a full tower casing. Currently using CM690 II Advance. I've read reviews on NZXT Phantom. To bad the side 200mm fan cannot be installed because I'm using Noctua NH-D14.  sweat.gif  Got any suggestions for which full tower casing have good air flow? Prefer more to artistic gaming casing and my rig would be using only air cooling.  nod.gif  Thanks.

You could try this or any Raidmax casing. looked artistic enough IMHO.
Bitfenix cases

To all experts, i heard you need a special mounting kit for the ceiling fan. Normal screws will do the job? Anyway to put more fans in it?
*
What casing are you using? AFAIK there's no special mounting kit for ceiling fan. can use normal screws or if want to reduce vibration can use rubber screws.

Any1 can recommend budget casing with good cable management? let's say my budget rm200. if add a bit for better casing then no prob. smile.gif

add a bit you could get either xigmatek utgard, cm690 or cm690II basic. these have decent cable management IMHO.

Halu there!

I'm in the midst of deciding my rig, and would be really grateful if someone can point me in the right direction for casings.

Requirements (I hope I'm not asking for too much blush.gif )

1. Must have USB 3.0
2. Minimalistic look (I'm leaning to looks like the Merc Alpa, Silencio...something very simple).
3. Mid-tower or smaller would be nice. Don't really want it to stand out like a sore thumb in my room sweat.gif
4. Ideally, below RM 200.

Hope I'm not demanding the world with the requirements sweat.gif

Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

EDIT: Figured that I should probably detail my rig incase things don't fit...although I think it shouldn't be a problem

Intel Core i5 2400
Z77M-D3H or HA65M-UD3H-B3
2 X Corsair 4G DDR3 Ram
LiteOn 24x Dvd-RW
W.D. BLUE 16M 7200 RPM SATA 6.0
Gainward GTX560 Ti
Gigabyte Powerock 500W

Also forgot to mention that someone rec'd a Cooler Master 311 Plus...which fits the bill mostly. Still not sleek enough though laugh.gif I'm hoping for the Merc Alpha look to be honest.

Or is there a way to hack that usb port to become a usb 3.0? laugh.gif

Why not you just buy the bitfenix or coolermaster usb 3.0 front panel adapter? It's still within your budget if you buy that merc alpha. nod.gif

CM usb 3.0 adapter

Bitfenix usb 3 adapter

nice window. didn't realized APES also do custom services.
it give me an idea though, might be possible to mod the side panel some more and add 2 fan holes next to the window. that should give more airflow. tongue.gif

NEW HTPC STYLE... drool.gif

this is for HTPC, if for full tower must need a full size skeleton, watercooling tubes as them intestines etc. laugh.gif
