I need a casing recommendation. I'm planning on getting a brand new system built for me (budget: approx 5k for the CPU system (ie excluding monitor, speaker etc)) I was hoping to get the Silverstone Fortress 2, but no one seems to have it available locally. So I need alternatives.
My priorities are as follows (from highest to lowest): Minimal dust - ie, must have filters in place on all intakes Size - no bigger than the FT02 (212 x 497 x 616 mm) Silent (not stealthy, reasonable noise is OK) Cool (again reasonable, I'm planning on purchasing better heatsinks/ cooler rather than relying on stock functionality) Budget - really dunno, I know what I'm gonna spend for the whole thing but not so much the individual breakdown. I was gonna ask the individual builders here to give me quotes as I can't build my own system from ground up. But I'll say approx RM800? Feedback appreciated, thx! |

QUOTE(yuktsi14 @ Feb 3 2010, 11:42 PM) Yeah, thought about it. It's currently a distant 2nd to the FT02 for my system. I'm hoping that there's another case that better meets my earlier criteria & is smaller & has more easily accessible filters for cleaning. |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 4 2010, 02:10 AM) dont limit urself to the PC-P50 (though i find it to be a good case, especially with the 100% tool-less installation) Will do, but like I said my priorities are:go to the thread i linked and see the cases within ur budget and google them for reviews and judge for urself... there are other lian li sellers in garage sales...u can use their threads to check out prices and models as well oh....n check out lancool k-62 as well....based on the P50 but with a better HDD cage....and about half the price....unfortunately, its steel. *Minimal dust - ie, must have filters in place on all intakes - easily accessible for cleaning as well *Size - no bigger than the FT02 (212 x 497 x 616 mm) *Silent (not stealthy, reasonable noise is OK) *Cool (again reasonable, I'm planning on purchasing better heat sinks/ cooler rather than relying on stock functionality) |
