As you can see, HAF 912 has more advantages compare to 922 as it has all the latest feature like SSD cage, hdd removable cage for gpu clearance, usb 3 port etc. But to be honest actually 922 looks better to me except it dont hav black interior coating

QUOTE(night @ Nov 5 2011, 09:41 AM) Was in the same dilemma like TS. However, by the end of the day I chose the HAF922 due to its external look. I love it as compare to the other. I spent more time looking at the exterior than the interior therefore I did not really bother about the interior though it will be a bonus if the interior is black in color. Nice choice btw. Yet too bad haf 922 dont hav front usb 3.0 support which is very useful in the future upgrade |

I would say HAF 922 provide best air flow especially the one with meshed panel so that you can fit 200mm megaflow on it. Blowing high air flow towards ur gpu which is very hot at load. But the case is lack of features like front usb 3.0, ssd cage, removable hdd cage etc. One more thing is the casing dont hav black coated interior which is one of my criteria for casing

QUOTE(jabba87 @ Apr 18 2012, 03:08 PM) Need some help regarding which casing to choose. I'm torn btw this few casings as my budget is roughly rm300... can increase to 400. Prefer to have lotsa dust filters and good air flow, and extra space to as i plan to upgrade to 2 x GC in the future. I would pick either CM 690 II or 500R. The casings are ... 1) CM 690 II Advanced USB3.0 2) Corsair Carbide 400R 3) Corsair Carbide 500R White Edition Thanks for your advise! Both are quite identical in term of cooling. You might see 500R has a big 200mm fan at side panel, but its a slim type so airflow not as strong as normal 200mm such as megaflow from coolermaster. In my view , 500R white look very good compare to Cm690 II Anyhow Cm690II is more wc friendly if you tend to go wc in future too QUOTE(darrenlee @ Apr 18 2012, 10:11 PM) Hi there, Do you aim for some cable management ?I'm using Asus p5kpl-am motherboard I need a casing not more than rm200 any recommended cool design casing ? If so , under Rm200 is kinda low for a good looking + cable management friendly casing. How about CoolerMaster 690 II Basic ? A little bit over budget but its only around RM235. Or even Corsair 300R ? But if you insists below rm200 budget, you can take a look at coolermaster Elite series or even Xigmatek Asgard Pro mention by CyntrixTech. But dont expect alot good feature in low budget casing. |

QUOTE(benl40 @ Apr 19 2012, 04:28 AM) Hello, please recommend me a case, my budget is RM500 max this is what I'm looking at As bro Clem1982 recommended, Raven02-E will definitely be my pick. Having 3x180mm fan as intake. Superb cooling while premium looking. 500R/600T - Corsair Trooper/Enforcer/Scout - CM What I generally need is USB 3.0, prefer with LED, see thru side window, this case will be on the floor so I would prefer to have top I/O panel. Please recommend me other case you deem fit in this criteria, any brand =D I would grab it last time but the transparent window is on the right side which not suit me QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Apr 19 2012, 08:08 AM) Actually the 500R supports internal WC as well just the config is different, although I'm using a CM 690II advanced, I'd totally recommend the 500R over the 690II as the dust filters are more accessible CM690II can fit dual 240mm fan at top and btm which is awesome for a mid tower but it will be very tight packed if you didnt hav good cable management. The 500R does has a large 200mm side intake fan, but it is unfiltered, so its basically a dust hoover. Anyway this isnt big deal, you can always grab or even DIY yourself a dust filter QUOTE(darrenlee @ Apr 19 2012, 10:28 AM) The main feature is HDD docking. Do you really need it ?It doesnt hav front usb 3.0 port and quite poor cable management and only come with a 120mm fan which mean you need buy urself a few fans with some price.
