Yes. You have the Dell UltraSharp 2209WA. A 22" 1680x1050, IPS monitor that is selling for slightly above RM700 currently.
*
Is the 2209WA a good buy? Are there any other IPS panels that can beat dell in quality or price?

Quality? Definitely. If you are willing to pay much much more, then there are excellent IPS based panels out there you can choose from.

Price? I don't think you'll be finding any more brand new, sub RM1000 IPS monitors in the market. IMO, it is a phenomenally good deal and a definite step up from any TN based monitor. That is if you don't mind losing out on a 1920x1080 resolution.

can anyone recommend a 22" monitor,budget 500-600,supports HDMI?and has internal speaker too.
There's Samsung B2230H (RM579, from Viewnet) and LG W2261V-PF (RM599, from Viewnet) but these do not have speakers. The closest is Acer H233H (RM629, from Viewnet) which has speakers. cool.gif

Thanks for the input. Now I'm deciding between Dell's 2209WA and ST2410. Price wise it is almost similar so I know it comes down to whether I want better colour or a bigger screen. Anyway, I do not have any idea on how much better in terms of colour reproduction is the 2209WA better than ST2410. In other words comparing a TN panel to a E-IPS. Would appreciate any comments or user experience to help me justify my decision. Thanks smile.gif

Much better. I've used TN and IPS panels before and even compared them side by side. Been using IPS ever since tongue.gif

I heard you can call Dell to flash a firmware update at your place according to a Malaysian poster at HardOCP's U2410 thread. Is the new revision just a firmware update.
