Advise for all possible Dell U2410 buyer, try to avoid this monitor at all cost!!!

The monitor come with a manufacturer defect of Pink/Green Tint issue, and the solution provided by Dell was "Within Spec" and "Show me a 24" EIZO for $529 and lets compare." By Dell.

Not all monitor have that tinting problem. If yours is free from that, than congrat. No need to go find that problem yourself~  The tinting issue is obvious in white background, and damn obvious in a light grey background. Contrast level 50 edi can see the different~ ofcos, more high more significant. you can use "paint" to do the test. just chose the light grey color beside white.

yup~light grey color is most obvious for tint issue. And remember, dont set your contrast too low. Im at level 50~

actually for warranty..there is possible for you to get a new unit~   i got a new unit for my 3rd replacement without showing my anger.

hmmm..i just heard about the releasing of Rev A01 for U2410 in the dell monitor forum. Anyone dare try out?
I maybe will wait for another few month be4 i get my exchange and stated i want A01~

And based on the dell support, now they are having a mix stock of both A00 and A01~ so.. Dell Lottery begins again~

lol..that malaysian is me... i think they sent that person to me because i make the complaint until their south east asia manager level~

The firmware update is a fix for the dithering problem. Where i strongly believe it is also included in the new revision. but than...the main problem of my unit is the pink/green tint issue. So i dont wish to risk anymore in revision A00 since it is a problem of panel defect. The firmware doesnt fix the pink/green tint issue, but i will give it a chance in the new revision of monitor since my unit is under warranty.

And according to Dell forum...those who got the new revision doesnt have pink/green tint issue and dithering problem.. but..not many people got this new revision..so i still waiting for more confirmation.

i edi had it in my room... now just waiting for the right time to call for warranty~

I'm looking for PC monitor that has HDMI in for PS3, any recommendations? As i only know 22" onwards only have HDMI for Samsung, B2230H .

Any other models to recommend?
