I am. It's working like a charm. Disabled the monitor on my laptop and using the external monitor as the main display.

Unfortunately, no. It's just a normal dell laptop.

Well, i'm not sure what type of display panel macbook pros use but if you have the budget, go for the ips panels.
Perhaps you can be the first buyer for the new Dell U2211H/2311H series and share the review with all of us? biggrin.gif

For me, the biggest difference is that the U2311H is 1920x1080 (16:9) and the U2410 is 1920x1200 (16:10). The U2410 also has more input, (I think) better colour and brightness.

Thats y im confused...

With the price of U2410 i can get 2 U2311H already... dual monitor...

16:9 and 16:10 not much diff, at least all the movie is using 16:9 and gaming also got 16:9 resolution setting...

Should I regret that I bought my ST2410 2 weeks ago now that Dell offered 23" IPS at RM880? sweat.gif

I use both a 1920x1200 and 1920x1080. I'll tell you this, I'll sooner buy a single 1920x1200 than getting two 1920x1080. Well, mostly it is because I can afford it and I have already done so, but also I can't stand to use smaller.

If you want satisfaction with a 1920x1080, don't ever get used to a 1920x1200.

I wouldn't sweat about it too much. It's not that big an improvement and the 24" should be more comfortable reading than the smaller 23".

It's not about the size that I fuss about, it's the panel type. I have an IPS and the colours indeed much richer than the TN, plus TN has extremely poor vertical viewing angle sad.gif

Mine is 3 weeks old..and i am regretting. IPS panel would be so nice.
Not to mention that it says in the website that premium panels would cover 1-to-1 exchange if a dead/stuck pixel is found..which does not apply to the normal, cheaper panels.

I had forgotten about the colour quality difference.

And you can upgrade it to 5 years warranty too...

You're right. I'd be regretting it. Does Dell accept trade-ups? Otherwise I'd sell it off and buy the newer one.

If I'm not mistaken, Dell accept purchase-return within 30 days and you only need to pay for the transportation fees (people come to your doorstep and collect). Just that tongue.gif

However, the LCD lack of HDMI port, thou there is HDMI to DVI converter smile.gif

But getting two 1920x1080 is still much more satisfy than getting single 1920x1200...

I do notice the dif between 16:9 and 16:10, its like 16:9 shrink up...
But for the same price but getting 2 monitor is still better, can do a lot...
