Gud afternoon Northasian.Sorry if my question annoy you because I'm sure you have rcvd tons of questions abt HK.

My name is June and I'm planning to visit HK this Aug. Actually, working trip but I combine with leisureĀ  laugh.gif

This is what we plan to do;

Day 01
Arrive by MAS at 1315hrs. Chk in hotel. We stay in Hotel Benito,Tsim Tsa Tsui. After chk in go to Avenue of Star and surrounding for phostopstop. Later that nite visit to Ladies Market.(or any other market worth our money?? I mean worth to shop)

Day 1 plan should be ok, just walk around tsim tsa tsui, wong kok area, a lot of shopping there.

Day 02
Visit Disney land and Citigate outlet (we don't intend to spend so much time in Disneyland. A little bit photo session here and there will be enough for us.)

Since you want to visit many places as possible, i suggest you visit Giant Buddha early in the morning, take cable car @ Ngong Ping (Tung Chung MRT station) about 9.30 or 10am, after visit Giant Buddha would be around 1pm, you could visit Citigate outlet for awhile, then about 3pm go to Disneyland and stay until firework show at night. If you think it's too rush, just skip the citigate shopping, visit citigate on your last day early morning before your departure since the location is near to airport.

Day 03
Visit The Peak, Victoria Park, Bouhimia Square, Longest Escalator and Ocean Park.

Visit The Peak in the early morning (visit The Madame Tussaud Wax Museum and Sky Terrace). Could skip bouhimia square, nothing much there. Then go to Ocean Park. At night visit Lan Kwai Foong in Central or Causeway Bay area for shopping. If you prefer night view at The Peak, you could swap the time.

Day 04
Day trip to Macau if time permitted other wise you can recommend us what else we shud include.

Take ferry to Macau in early morning, must visit Venetian Casino and Taipa Village (both near Macau Airport), and some major tourist spots in macau island.

Day 05
Flight departure back to KUL at 1445hrs.

Don't forget Wong Tai Sin Temple. You could make it in early morning.

Our plan is to visit as many places as possible. Shopping is also my top priority.Heheheheh!! I'm looking for stuff like Adidas,Levi's,perfume, cosmetics, bags. We don't follow any tours. We just take the train, tram or buses.

Do you think our programme above is good??

I just came back from HK, not that hot there now, only 27'C-30'C.
Transportation very easy.
Only thing that, some do not speak english.
*I miss our malaysian affordable nasi lemak and cheap roti canai(In HK=RM5 after converted to RM).
Their Curry fish ball are spicy and sweet. Guess I still loves Malaysian Taste. Food there aren't cheap. But, HK are definitely worth visit to shopping. Fragrance, toiletries and many things there are cheap, probably coz its all duty free.
Have to take precaution and becareful when buy electronic things, have to buy in a reputable shops, as they will replace the goods item with fake or faulty one. so, please double check.

I did not get enough time to go all HK must go places.
I want to go HK again... When is the best season?
Next year March-May, should be alright is it? Don't want too hot.

Hi, will be going alone to HK at Mid August around 2 weeks. (as my eldest bro and cousins are HK ppl)

As for famous place such as Ocean park, the peak , madame tussaud, trip to macau/shenzhen will be going with my cousins.

Problem is they won't be spending the whole 2 week with me. So I expect I will go explore around HK local streets and foods.

Any suggestion guys smile.gif ?

Like Moody said. There's no food like we have in Malaysia.

They said the best time is between Jan-May but I'm not a big fan of cold weather. So I choose to come during summer.Plus, summer time is where u find discount/sales everywhere in HK.

HI,

I will be flying to Macau with my wife on end of July.
I was planning to directly going to Hong Kong 1st.
Saw at the Macau Airport website, there have a direct transit from the airport to the Macau Ferry Terminal without going out of the immigration.
Have anyone try it before?
Is it reliable? or is it better I take cab to the Ferry Terminal?

Me and my family will be making a trip to HK this September. Basically it's only me, my wife and my 4yrs old gal.
Should we sign up for a tour package or free n easy tour? Most likely we will be flying by Cathay as it's the cheapest among AA and MAS.

To those who had be to HK quite often, i really need some advise from u.
This is my dilemma :
1) Our trip will only be 4d/3n
2) We wanna visit Disneyland and Shenzhen for some shopping. how far is shenzhen from hk?
3) Any hotels to stay that is near to places of interest and it's convenient to travel around.
4) Is it advisable to travel with guide or free n easy. Btw we r Chinese so language is not a barrier to us.
5) Got any lobangs on any HK tour promos..

No need tour...HK is very convenient & well connected via MTR & buses.

1) My last trip also 4D3N. I started from Macau, crossing to Zhuhai on 1st day> Guanzhous & Shenzhen on 2nd day, HK on 3rd day & end of 3rd day -Arrived at Macau..haha...

2) Shenzhen is only ~ 45min from Tsim Sha Sui.

3) HK hotels are expensive..I avoid staying at HK & macau & stayed at China side instead (Except last nite at Macau)

4) & 5) No need guide. just do abit of research here & google.

End of the year, very happening and the weather is cooling, below than 15c. But hotel rate is very expensive during this season. Last time the hotel that I stayed, the rate was RM1k+ per night at Tsim Sha Tsui. I could see the island from here.

From my experience, foods in HK are more expensive than in the UK.

Hey,
I am currently in Hong Kong now for another 4 days.
But currently all my plans are ruined due to continous raining.
Any places that are covered that you recommend to go ?
Shopping centers connected to MTRs are great.
