@shoduken >> nothing very grand lah, management post in the finance line.

@antaeus >> yeah it really is a lifetime opportunity. I think I will take the job. Still feels a bit @_@ though to leave everything behind here ...

Hmmm this probably isn't the right forum to ask this in, but work-visa will be taken care of by company. According to this link, "The Hong Kong government has recently changed the law to automatically entitle your spouse to a work visa once your work visa has been approved. We can assist you with the application procedures for your spouse’s visa." --> anyone know if this is true or whether it's been changed or etc? Need to bring my tai tai over too hehe.

It's just 4 hour plane to HK ma. Somemore air ticket go there so cheap now around RM383 both way with promotion or RM700+ without promotion on Airasia, with that salary you can even come back every month for 1-2 day lol. I also think you should take the opportunity, HK is a marvelous city ^^

Yeah but how long does it take to go from Mongkok to Lowu Border?

How to ensure that I would definitely buy a "hard seat" ticket so that I don't have to stand throughout the journey?

I wanna go to Guangzhou again!

Please enlighten me. Cheers!

Just came back from my Hong kong trip, 5 Days 4 nites. Overall a very good experience and enjoyable, but there were some unpredictable things happened.

Day 1
Depart LCCT 7:00am
Reached airport 10:00am.
Air Asia doesn't have enough immigration card, so no choice fill up at the check in counter.
The airport doesn't looks grand but very organized, with workers around to check and make sure everything goes smoothly.
No worry the communication, English and Mandarin or Cantonese also Ok.
Walk around wanted to find Octopus card, but at the end ended at the bus terminal. So just bought the direct ticket.
No worry about map, you can get it in airport with Kowloon and HK Island map in detail. Just ask the counter your hotel location, they will direct you the correct bust and the stop location.
Hopped in the bus, got place for you to place your luggage. So no worry.
Just tell or show ur hotel address, the bus driver will inform you once the stop is reached.
Check in Guandong Hotel, booked at Agoda, along Prat Ave, hotel size like cititel Midvalley.
Room not ready, put the luggage then go for lunch.
Bcoz not prepare, so just walk in any shop and eat.
Then check in hotel, go mtr buy octopus then go Wang Tai Shin.
MTR waiting is less than 3 mins if not mistaken.
Once reached station, you can always refer to map for the correct location. Street signboard are well placed.
Walk around take picture then go back Tsim Sha Tsui station.
Then walk to Start Avenue, Sogo, Light Symphony.
Dinner.
The place I stayed is full of pubs. At nite you can c many leng lui shouting outside the pub for business. Many 7 eleven shops around so no worry if u need to buy things, you can buy adult mag there as well. tongue.gif
Surprisingly, 10 over 10 HK gals are slim and quite pretty and well make up. hehe wub.gif

Added on May 23, 2010, 8:58 pmDay 2
Take MTR from TST to Yau Ma Tee. Wanted to try the Aus Mikl Cafe... but long que so go others shop.
Take MTR to Disneyland.
Arrived at Disney about 11am, bought tickets.
A bit disappointed, the place is not as huge as I thought, the games were more for kids.
At 3 something rained, Disney parade canceled. No pictures taken. mad.gif
It was heavy rain with strong wind.
At 5 something, announment no fireworks doh.gif
Very sien, just go out.
Don't expect much at this place, is more for Disney experience.
Straight away take MTR to Citigate at Tung Chung.
You will find many mid branded outlets with discounted price. Esprit was great bargain.
For Crocs shoe, you can get it for HKD 80 for sales, and normal type only 120 HKD or more depends the design.
But Clarks I don't see much different.
If you ppl are in to those branded type you must go and visit.
Eat McD pork at there.
Then balik tidur.

Back in February for my trip to HK, i was staying in Yau Ma Tei Bridal Tea House.
I could said the best for travelers for moving around is transportation.
It was only a 2 mins walking distance to MTR stations.

The best part is hotel is ~RM200 with b'fast provided. But actually if u hunt for good food in HK, u definetely dont appreciate the hotel food.
That's my thought. Hope this help.
