QUOTE(smwah @ May 23 2010, 08:45 PM) Just came back from my Hong kong trip, 5 Days 4 nites. Overall a very good experience and enjoyable, but there were some unpredictable things happened. I will be going hk for 2d1n for smth..Day 1 Depart LCCT 7:00am Reached airport 10:00am. Air Asia doesn't have enough immigration card, so no choice fill up at the check in counter. The airport doesn't looks grand but very organized, with workers around to check and make sure everything goes smoothly. No worry the communication, English and Mandarin or Cantonese also Ok. Walk around wanted to find Octopus card, but at the end ended at the bus terminal. So just bought the direct ticket. No worry about map, you can get it in airport with Kowloon and HK Island map in detail. Just ask the counter your hotel location, they will direct you the correct bust and the stop location. Hopped in the bus, got place for you to place your luggage. So no worry. Just tell or show ur hotel address, the bus driver will inform you once the stop is reached. Check in Guandong Hotel, booked at Agoda, along Prat Ave, hotel size like cititel Midvalley. Room not ready, put the luggage then go for lunch. Bcoz not prepare, so just walk in any shop and eat. Then check in hotel, go mtr buy octopus then go Wang Tai Shin. MTR waiting is less than 3 mins if not mistaken. Once reached station, you can always refer to map for the correct location. Street signboard are well placed. Walk around take picture then go back Tsim Sha Tsui station. Then walk to Start Avenue, Sogo, Light Symphony. Dinner. The place I stayed is full of pubs. At nite you can c many leng lui shouting outside the pub for business. Many 7 eleven shops around so no worry if u need to buy things, you can buy adult mag there as well. Surprisingly, 10 over 10 HK gals are slim and quite pretty and well make up. hehe Added on May 23, 2010, 8:58 pmDay 2 Take MTR from TST to Yau Ma Tee. Wanted to try the Aus Mikl Cafe... but long que so go others shop. Take MTR to Disneyland. Arrived at Disney about 11am, bought tickets. A bit disappointed, the place is not as huge as I thought, the games were more for kids. At 3 something rained, Disney parade canceled. No pictures taken. It was heavy rain with strong wind. At 5 something, announment no fireworks Very sien, just go out. Don't expect much at this place, is more for Disney experience. Straight away take MTR to Citigate at Tung Chung. You will find many mid branded outlets with discounted price. Esprit was great bargain. For Crocs shoe, you can get it for HKD 80 for sales, and normal type only 120 HKD or more depends the design. But Clarks I don't see much different. If you ppl are in to those branded type you must go and visit. Eat McD pork at there. Then balik tidur. My flight time is as per below Saturday Depart Kuala Lumpur International Airport(LCC Terminal) (KUL) at 07:00 and arrive in Hong Kong International Airport (T2) (HKG) at 11:05 Return Sunday Depart Hong Kong International Airport (T2) (HKG) at 21:05 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur International Airport(LCC Terminal) (KUL) at 00:50 (next day) Wanna ask how do i get from airport to mongkok? How much does it cost and how long is the journey? i plan to stay in hostel in mongkok... is there any good recommendations to stay for just one night that is cheap . preferably somehwere safe coz i am alone. Plus how to get to airport on sunday if my flight is 905pm.. appreciate ur feedback so i can plan my stay there |

QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ Aug 29 2010, 09:27 AM) haha yup~ jst want to know a bit before leaving msia ..... Its not cheapest via mtrfrom airport to mongkok , the fastest and cheapest way is via their mtr? will be staying at Dorsett Seaview Hotel The cheapest is take their Bus E21 only 14HKD.. This is what the locals n air stewardess take also.. However it may be a longer route but i get to see more sceneries while i was on the bus. Normally a tourist will take the A21 bus , only 33HKD .. i heard its faster to mongkok.but i wasnt in a hurry n i wanted to do a bit bus sightseeing so i took E21. Both E21 n A21 will reach airport or mongkok. I took the E21 from airport to mongkok , agryle street and i took A21 from mongkok, nathan street to Airport Esp if u are carrying lotsa luggage its easier taking the bus coz u dont need to carry down the stairs when u go down mtr station or change stations at tsingyi to hop on airport express train. QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ Aug 29 2010, 10:42 PM) erm but when i reach hk already 9+pm .. is it good to take the bus? easy to find the bus station from the airport? and may i know how long is the journey? Well bus station its quite easy to find.is agryle street full of shopping also? is it same with the mong kok street? and u been to agryle shopping center before? anyone know where can i find disney products besides disneyland near mongkok ? Because i will be staying at Dorsett Seaview Hotel mongkok ... or around there can find already? any clay products around? those that ppl use to deco hp? from mongkok to citygate outlet via mtr how far would it be and how much anyone got any ideas? come out of airport turn right down n u will see bus station Just get the map from the hk tourism booth or simply ask them .. they are delighted to help ya u can actually go to google map n check agreyle street.. it actually shows the real pictures of the buildings n navigate around the streets as if u are there walking.. i stayed at agryle street not sure bout the ceshopping centre..din go in every building on that street.. U can find disney shop at the airport.. so go earlier to the airport before u leave n go shop there.. |

QUOTE(mirako88 @ Sep 3 2010, 03:28 PM) wow... that mean 3k not enough lo... seriously it depends on individualscan u guys really go holiday and spend your own money? i though gather all the money dee? that mean if really wanna shopping there must bring 4k is the min.... see if ur gf is a big spender or not.. I went 2d1n mid aug n i spent bout 3.5k HKD bout 1.5k but thats because i went there for shopping. If u are shopping mainly for branded items then u need to allocate more. I think if u dont shop just eat its gonna be very cheap.. but of course bring more just in case or just bring a credit card |
