Guys, need some help...I need a 2.1 speakers...not for PC but for my Digital Piano. Yeah, i know there are specialized keyboard speakers but those are in thousand of RMs...i have no budget to blow right now after buying the digital piano...

What i need is speakers for music, not bass booming speakers. Any recommendations. Anything below RM400 is within budget.

Edifier Studio Series
-R2000T
-R19000TIII

you don't need subwoofer for your use as you don't want boomy bass
so these should suit you plus it saves space

both cost around RM350-RM400 range depends on the seller

All the while, I've been used Logitech X-210, Altec Lansing ACS221, Edifier M3500, and Edifier M2300 but weird things is the M2300 sound quality is better than all those. I would like to ask for recommendation should I stay with M3500 because I don't really feel the 5.1 environment or is there any better options for me, any range of speakers will do. My budget will be around RM320+/- most importantly is worth buying that speaker because I've been regretting buying alot value speakers and it ends up consumes my spaces. Is there any speakers that in between my budget can hear significant sound quality although with low volumes?

Should try Edifier HCS2330, at RM289+/-
It have Edifier Intelligent Distortion Control(E.I.D.C) with it.
normal bass with normal treble.
plus it have an amplifier(sort of), which could adjust treble and bass, plus it have headphone input at front and aux input at the back.
take it as an option =)

Thanks for the feedback, i'll try to check out those models, but i can't find any reviews online...sad.gif

btw, i am also looking at Creative T20 (series 1)...coz some forumners are selling it cheap at only RM200++. Anyone tried this speaker before? The higher end T40 seems to be out of budget at around RM550 to RM600... cry.gif ...and Creative's top range T3 is at RM8xx.....but seems like getting rave reviews everywhere.

Hey men, I would be glad if someone here could help me out. At the moment I have trouble deciding between a few 2.1 speaker systems, namely the :-

i) Edifier S530D
ii) Harman Kardon Soundsticks II
iii) AE Aego M

My budget is at RM 800

Mostly used to play audio cd's or at worst 320kbps/mp3, with some gaming thrown in(but usually i use wireless headphones for this)

am looking to plug it into my pc, lcdtv and ps3 in a room measuring 3mX3m

As I don't really have the time to audition these speakers as usually there are located at diff places, could anyone who has owned any of these give me some feedback. Or if you know of any other choices other than these 3 that also fits into my budget, do let me knoe.

thanks

That's quite a gd budget you've there bro, but is it possible for you to squeeze like RM200 more? Coz I would recommend Edifier S730D over those speakers listed above.

Aego M is your best choice for music. Beside that AE have high reputation and well known in HiFi world.

Just went to LowYat to do some auditioning just now.

It was pretty hard to hear as they're mostly playing crap music with either heavy metal or boring bass oriented dance hiphop stuff.
But in between, there are a few songs that is actually music, from which i can at least try to derive some opinions.

Edifier RL19000III - Frankly, not impressed at all....sound is way too muffle.

Creative T-3 - Quite impressive. I think it's the best of the lot of all the speakers there...but of course, price also very best. doh.gif

Sonic A5 and A7 - Can't manage to hear much stuff as most are bass/heavy metal stuff when i try this. But the A7 does sounds better, IMO. But the sub is way too freaky big....sweat.gif

I dunno if it's just me...i've never been impressed with any Edifier speakers.....i tried auditioning them a while back....not impressed then, not impressed now. Hmm....

Too bad there's no Creative T20 or T40 on demo....sigh...

i didn't see any Aego M speakers either...hardly any of the big stores carry this?? hmm.gif

i saw the A7 being sold already recently. too bad no chance to demo it. i know sonic gear quality is doubtful, but still i want to know what has they come up with. how was the A7? lol. T3 is sure quite nice, perhaps for edifier, you should try the S2000 or S2000V. it's the only thing i'm impressed with.

i'm sure the crap you heard not true heavy metal. It certainly some screamo or punk goes whatever cover band.

Ya men, i saw in garage sales got this guy sell for 770 so i go cod with him at lunch time so a fast deal.
so far i am liking what I hear. the mids and highs are very clear and very nicely reproduced for a system for its price

Of course u cant compare it with a properly set up traditional hifi system but at its price and the small room its it definately packs a punch

But best thing to do with it is to play high quality audio cd's and turn off all the EQ/effects/enhancements and all that crap.

Was playing this all day to burn them in thumbup.gif bass notes are killa and the ambience.

Played it off a japanese vinyl replica cd with some audigy sound card.

Prolly gonna change the cables and get a USB DAC or something in near future.
