weixuan: The Sony 30mm F2.8 DT Macro SAM is already for sale at Sony Style outlets. Dunno if it's at dealers though.

cjlai: The Sony 30mm focuses fast enough.

cheeft: No idea, though Sony suggests that it works fine in snowy temperature. The A700 definitely works in Antartica. You'll want to keep spare batteries in your pocket though.

gizmo_pony: By default it is in sRGB (Web standard) but you can activate AdobeRGB mode.

owh i know this question has been asked like a million times... but what a good site to upload and compress photos?

Photobucket is best if u intend to share a lot of pics coz it's much easier to access all the [img] Codes from the thumbnails. Flickr is so lame when it comes to that. Hafta click each photo to open it then another step then again another step to get the code.

BTW the sensor cleaning cost rm150 at Sony? That's crazeeeeeeee. A Giottos Rocket blower is about rm50 n Sensorklear pen only costs like rm20-30 for stubborn spots.

i have a blower... not the rocket blower.. just a normal one.... i couldnt clean the sensor myself.. so.. well. i was desperate..

i know its crazeeeee for rm150. but i had no choice. and i think its still dirty..

u guys really freak for sony DSLR!!!!!

you will need to watch out for condensation build up inside the camera that might freeze into fine ice and cause potential shorting issue
but some places are very dry, even though cold


if the body and lense can survive, you still need to worry about the battery as it will freeze up
warming it up will bring it back to life but that would mean you would need at least a pair of it to be able to shoot constantly
popping the frozen one into your pocket to heat it back up while using the other

otherwise, bring a full manual
